Decent area in Huntsville that is rather close to everything. Our kids enjoyed the pool. The inside of the property was clean although it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke or marijuana. On arrival, I assume the windows were left open due to this. Check in process could be smoother. A key was provided at check in, however, my preference is rentals with keyless entries. Also, I prefer clear check-in procedures up front that provides me with everything I need to know from check-in to check-out (like door key location, wifi passcode, check-out procedures). I had to ask for the 1st two items. The check-out procedure was provided the day of checkout, which I missed because we were packing to leave.Improvement I would make: updated matching linens (everything from the fitted sheets, flat sheets, covers, pillow cases, wash cloth/drying towels) were all different designs, nothing matched. So, it didn't feel homely.The entrance to the apartment building leading to this unit looked icky/not maintained the best. Could use a good power washing.Would I rent this one again,? maybe not but it was a decent value for a quick overnight stay.

At the last minute, host told us property was not available and offered to switch us to another property she had (which was all very poor reviews). We declined and then the stay was cancelled by the host. A few minutes later, she said it was available again - BAD HOST. Stay far away! Fortunately VRBO stands with their guests and helped us book with another host - and even picked up the difference in booking rates since it was cancelled within 24 hours of the arrival time.

I am so sorry for your experience. Everything at the Airbnb has been sorted out and the listings are five star ratings now. You were offered an alternative unit because the first unit had some maintenance issues to add to be fixed before someone else can stay but that has been mitigated at this point. To be honest the poor reviews you speak of are from another property but I just updated the listing pictures I didn’t create a new listing so those reviews are still there but I will create a new listing now since you brought this up. Because those reviews don’t reflect their current property five star status
