If your goal is maximum beach time and a comfy clean and safe room without breaking the bank then I would recommend booking this property. Location of this rental room is the win. A very short walk (1 block) to public beach access #6 with no major thoroughfare to cross. Easy walk for my lung compromised husband. Public deck has ocean view. Less than 5 minute drive to Surf City proper where there are many nice places to eat and shop. You can walk a couple of blocks to a mini mart (with good coffee) and a Tiki dive bar. The property is a converted motel room to private ownership but you can use the motel's amenities. All check in and out is done online and very efficient. Alan, the host is attentive and provides nice suggestions. The room is very clean with working microwave, mini fridge and tv. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean with safety features in the tub and good water pressure. Outside of the building is safe although it did need some TLC from maintenance. Pool was cleaned every other day. If you are staying more than a couple of nights bring extra towels and paper products. Internet access is fair. Streaming on the Roku TV was wonky but we used our own Hot Spot for internet. At 11;30ish AM there is an Italian Ice vendor on the beach -- a wonderful treat.

We had a long drive 6 hour's all together from 1 destination to another, so when we got to Tiffany's we checked in our room then went straight to the beach to relax. After returning from the beach we looked around the property for a grill that said would be available on site and clearly was not. We brought chicken to cook needless to say that went bad with some other groceries we brought to grill. On top of that the property had full beer cans, trash, broken furniture and our room was disgusting. There was brown marks on wash rags, sheets and the fridge was filthy. We contacted the host and paragon properties about the garbage and broken chairs and they said they were sending a team out to fix the situation? Well they sent people out but they did nothing. So we again brought it to the hosts Allen's attention and paragon mgmt. And same thing sending a team out to fix problems? Again nothing now at this time the 2nd day I added that there were 2 dead baby bird's by the pool, that didn't matter. I have rented many places through VRBO and have ALWAYS been happy. I personally believe this place doesn't even qualify to be on any rental sight. It's overpriced and very bad management of the property. I suggest you find a hotel off the island or spend a little more money and get a place that cares about what they rent and amenities they have for the pricing.
