Pros: The home was very nice and accommodating. The rooms and bathrooms were large and comfortable. The bedding and linens were also nice, and it felt like we were in a higher-end hotel room. The host company was responsive, especially when the AC system malfunctioned. The home was within reasonable walking distance to restaurants, shops, and beach. There is a green space with a soccer goal for the kids to play in. Lots of areas to explore by foot, bike, or golf cart. The community pool was a convenient alternative. Cons: The home was a newly listed home and the rental company did not ensure a fully clean home, i.e. there was a large amount of sand under the rugs and dirty air return filters. (Photos). The AC system began malfunctioning, and a repair man was called to address the issue, which turned out to be the filthy air return filters. This resulted in kids with allergy-type reactions that persisted. The golf cart was convenient, however the seatbelts could not be secured and the brakes were not in good condition. For the money paid, we should have received a better quality golf cart. Finally, our listing stated that beach towels were included, but were not provided. This was a listing mistake, but was made right by the rental company.Warning: Apparently, black bear also roam the property. (Photos). This was especially dangerous considering that we allowed our children to ride bikes and play in the green space. We had no idea that this danger existed.
