Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Dishes: Please clean/put away all soiled dishes/pots/pans prior to departure. Start dishwasher no later than 8:30am day of checkout, allowing time for cycle to run, drying and storage of clean items.
Trash/Recycling: Please empty trash & recycling from all waste bins and dispose in appropriate communal outdoor receptacles. DO NOT leave outside unit on decking area.
Please return all furnishings [inc. bedding & pillows] back to original location/s in event you adjusted anything during your stay. This ensures all guests enjoy the property as featured in pictures.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We had a great stay and time here! It was our first time staying closer to the Duck area and it was very nice having so much to do in such close proximity. The condo was great for my husband and I and adult daughter. Lots of space to spread out and had everything we needed. Thank you for having us.

Tranquil Tide was the perfect spot for our first visit to the Outer Banks for our family of 4! There was so much thought and intention put into the unit and it had everything we needed! The decor was perfect, the kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms and bathrooms had everything we needed and having the beach chairs and sand mat available was a nice touch so we didn’t have to overpack the car. Coleen was a great host, very communicative and pleasant to worth.

I'm going to be honest, driving onto the property, I was a little leary. But don't worry, once you open the door to the unit, you will be glad you rented this! It is beachy, without being overly kitschy. The furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen appears to be stocked with just about anything you could need to cook whatever you want (I assume, we didn't cook, but there is a LOT of stuff there!).The unit is part of a complex of condos, and is an easy walk to the beach. Out the door, down the steps, over the dune, and there you are! Or, you can see the ocean and hear the waves from either balcony, which is perfect for a non-beach person like me!The host was excellent in communicating, and supplying details – the attention to detail in the communication transfers over to the unit itself.It is an easy walk from the property to the highway, and Duck itself is very walkable. A sunset from the Boardwalk is a MUST!We simply could not have been happier with our stay in Duck.

This place is amazing and so is the host. She has thought of everything when it comes to convenience. The place is decorated very nice and we enjoyed this place so much. we have been going to Duck for 30 plus years and we used to not have to rent. We have rented a few in Colony by the Sea and this place has been the best so far. The beach chairs are so thoughtful and a great plus! Everything you could possibly need is here. The restaurants are great and great shopping close by. Colleen is super at responding to any issues and needs and she is very thoughtful. The kitchen is well stocked for your cooking needs . We will be back, we come down every year for our Anniversary and cant wait to rent this place again.

My family of three spent a week at Tranquil Tide. It made an excellent home base for outings both north and south along the northern Outer Banks. The apartment was clean and well-equipped, and having a full kitchen made our meal planning much simpler and more convenient. Laundry on the ground floor (6 to wash and dry one load) worked well. All of the appliances worked fine and the furnishings were comfortable and pleasant. The apartment is well situated on the beach and with a nice pool, and the town of Duck is charming and quite walkable compared to the long stretches of suburban strip mall that make up most of the commercial areas in the Outer Banks.The apartment requires either a property damage insurance rider (60 for our stay) or a security deposit of 1,500. This wasn't disclosed until midway through the booking process, and I was a little annoyed by what I consider a hidden fee. Also, the linen rental fee is sort of tucked away in the individual descriptions of the rooms and not exactly obvious. I didn't really have a problem with either of those fees, but I was a little annoyed that they weren't included in the initial advertised rate.But that is a minor quibble. Overall the apartment was excellent and we are happy we chose to rent it, and we would definitely consider doing so again if we vacation in the Outer Banks again.

VRBO often changes how they choose to breakdown or rollup various fees for their listings and it can be confusing when booking and also for property owners. The damage insurance rider for our property provides guests' flexibility in either paying a lower price that isn't refunded or paying a large sum deposit and receiving a refund. Both options/fees are reflected in VRBO rental cost per their current fee structure. Thank you for feedback on linen rental. We find our guests' appreciate the option to rent linens, or not, and can customize their linen rental to suit their needs. Linen rental is offered by a 3rd party, without markup, and we took steps to provide further clarification on the linen rental pricing form. Unit was very clean and the ocean decor extremely charming. Everything you need for the kitchen will be there if you need it, Coleen has thought of literally everything! The property itself has a great location with amazing oceanfront views - coffee with your sunrise and wine for your sunset! Definitely would recommend Tranquil Tides to anyone looking for a relaxing beach gateway!

Unit was recently updated and is perfect for a couple or a family of 4. Great decks with Adirondack highchairs for relaxing evenings. 1 minute walk to the beach. In addition, we enjoy direct beach access just a short stroll from our unit.
