The unit was roach-infested, and unfortunately, we only noticed it on the last day of our trip, from July 17 to 19. We were on the go the entire time, so we didn’t realize it until we returned early on the night of the 19th. We watched TV instead of going straight to bed, and that’s when we spotted the roaches everywhere. The bathroom, kitchen, and living area were infested.On the morning of the 20th, the infestation had gotten so bad that we were shaking out our belongings out of fear of bringing roaches home. I contacted the host, but they never responded. I also contacted Vrbo, but they tried several times to reach the host and told me they couldn’t.What makes this situation even sadder is that the host knew about the roaches. We found a very large can of Raid roach spray under the bathroom sink. This was my first time renting through Vrbo, and I honestly never will again. The pictures I’ve added don’t even capture the full extent of the roaches we exterminated before deciding to take pictures as evidence of the unit’s disgusting state.
