Great location - but some shortcomings
Stayed for over a week in July visiting Vienna.
Pros:
Great location! Walk to many sites, attractions, restaurants. Steps to Metro station for easy access all over Vienna.
Clean.
Great communication from host via WhatsApp.
Easy check in with key lock-box.
Lots of extra linens and towels. Washing machine with lots of room for hanging clothes. Kitchen well equipped.
Cons:
Even with blinds drawn on south facing windows, gets very warm inside during the day if it's hot outside. Only option to try and cool off at night is to open all the windows. Noise is a big problem - it's a very busy street (vehicles, sirens, people yelling). We even had noise problems in the inner bedroom from other units. This would not be an issue during cooler months. However the noise with open windows made it very hard to sleep.
Only one fan in unit. A second fan would have helped. The fan that was there was very weak and did not generate much airflow.
The mattress in the bedroom is quite thin. It's a very firm surface to try to sleep on if you don't like that. Mattress in the common room is more comfortable. Did not try the pullout futon.
A few other minor maintenance issues were passed on the host and I have no doubt will be addressed (e.g. a loose shower head mount that caused it to move/tip over when in use).
Overall a nice place to stay, but during hot weather the need to open the windows and resulting noise really affected our stay unfortunately.
