We enjoyed our weekend hiking in VT. The house had plenty of space and comfy couches. Easy drive the Manchester for shopping and dining. Loved the Adirondack chairs overlooking the meadow.

Great getaway house
Cute, snug comfortable house. Very workable and well-outfitted kitchen. Loved curling up on the couch by the fireplace with a view of the mountains. We’ll be back.

Best view in Vermont, lovely decor, comfortable seating and beds.
The view of the Green Mountains is fantastic. The house is comfortable, with a marvelous screen porch for dining. The house looks like a typical Vermont cottage, but the indoor decor is sophisticated modern, tasteful and comfortable. Accommodates family or group for indoor and outdoor games, reading and enjoyment. Lovely home to visit!

Cozy but ample, perfectly situated
We spent a fabulous, relaxing weekend at the Green Mountain retreat, drinking coffee by the fire as the dog curled at our foot, cooking up delicious meals in the well-stocked kitchen, hiking the nearby mountains, and soaking in the changing fall leaves from perfectly situated Adirondack chairs out in the yard. We were there in the fall, but its charms in winter and summer were easy to see: its casual, has room for plenty of guests, and is near ski mountains and swimming holes. Plus, a bonus: Manchester's Northshire bookstore, one of the best in the nation, practically was reason on its own to visit the area. Highly recommend!

Private getaway
When I booked this house I was looking for a private getaway near Manchester VT, and what I found was absolutely perfect. This home has a very nicely equipped kitchen--plus there are several stellar restaurants nearby. My stay included gorgeous, back-road, half-day bike rides (using some of the many bikes in the shed) and a few easy-to-moderate, uncrowded hikes. The home's lounging and sleeping arrangements were very comfortable, with 3 enormous sofas in 2 living rooms, lots of games, and a fabulous screen porch with a picnic table where we ate every meal, even in the rain. For a sweet, soft, green retreat, this house was ideal.

Peaceful, well-equipped, excellent location
Had a fantastic 4th of July weekend in this peaceful getaway in a great location. We visited nearby Earth, Sky, Time farm for local produce and bread, went into Manchester for the amazing bookstore, shopping at Mountain Goat for outdoor gear, and went to great fireworks display. So many options nearby for hikes for all levels and several options for swimming (we went to a pond for a dip, and hiked in Freedley Quarry). The kitchen is so well equipped - we shopped and cooked all weekend, found everything we needed for great cooking and dining and hanging out on the screened-in porch. Very comfortable seating in kitchen and two living rooms, great selection of games and puzzles, and plenty of space with 4 upstairs bedrooms. Beautiful view out of the front overlooking the mountains. Definitely plan to go back!
Heat didn’t work when we first arrived but the property manager solved that problem within 24 hours. The inside of the house is better than the outside which needs some maintenance. Many of the lights are dated and the kitchen supplies need to be updated/replaced. It’s typical for a 100 year house that has some quirks. Was surprised that had updated WiFi yet no Tv. (A smart tv is only 150). House had limited views of adjacent area due to tree overgrowth/ lack of pruning as pictures in listing were deceptive. Can’t say enough good things about property snd maintenance staff who were excellent and quickly solved many problems. Nice area of Vermont to visit.
