Beautiful quiet retreat
The house is lovely with a large back yard. We brought our own meals and the kitchen was well equipped to heat prepped food and do some cooking. A perfect place for a family weekend in Vermont.

Wonderful stay at the Lincoln Escape!
Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Lincoln Escape! It was a family of five that enjoyed the spectacular mountain views, proximity to scenic roads, easy access to Bristol and Middlebury, and the beautiful fall foliage. The home was absolutely beautiful, with awesome views, very picturesque, upgraded appliances in the kitchen, ample bedrooms and bathrooms. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. Will be back!

Great house with character
The house and property are beautiful. However, the cleaning service didn’t do a great job. The house smelled when we walked in, and the toilets and floors weren’t cleaned well. We found that the smell was from two bags of old trash sitting in the kitchen trash compactor. Aside from the cleaning issue, the yard was absolutely beautiful. The road noise is a bit loud but not horrible at night. Lots of sleeping options as well.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Molly. I’m delighted to hear that you found the house and property beautiful, and that you appreciated the lovely yard and sleeping options available.
However, I sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issues you encountered upon your arrival. It’s unacceptable that the house had an unpleasant smell and that the cleaning service did not meet our standards. I understand how important a clean and welcoming environment is, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
I will ensure that your feedback is shared with our housekeeping team to address these concerns and improve our service moving forward.
Thank you again for your valuable insights, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more enjoyable stay in the future.

Lived with wasps for a week
First, this is a gorgeous house. This was our second stay there and we love it. But when we arrived we found a floor full of dead or dying wasps. Turns out the house was full of them. One of us got stung on our first night and every day when we would wake up we’d go on a hunt to find more and we’d kill about 5-6 a day. Communications with the property folks were complicated (too many different people who were not coordinating on our problem), and frustrating. That said, everyone was super polite. But when you have a house full of wasps it shouldn’t take many texts and many calls to resolve the situation. In the end, they couldn’t do anything about it and we got a small refund

Winter Stay
Lovely home, clean and charmingly decorated. Would love to come again.
The home was immaculate and very comfortable. Many options for gathering together in or outdoors as well as peaceful spaces for drawing or reading. Well equiped and highly recommended!
It was an amazing getaway. Loved the sunroom, Mountain View, kids play area outside. We had 3 kids with us and they all enjoyed outdoor play area. Backyard is pretty big with amazing views and fun kids play area. This time around, we saw beautiful fall colors. Overall, it was a great stay and highly recommend it.
Beautiful home…warm and light filled. Kitchen is professionally equipped with mixer, vitamix and gas stove. Beautiful view of Mount Abe and great sledding hill behind the home. We’d love to stay here again!
It was tough not having service and the internet not working, but it was kind of nice to disconnect. The house was very very unique however having to figure out with the property management how to turn the water back on that was forgotten before our arrival was frustrating. Also, we were told we would be refunded the cleaning fee but have not received it yet which is also frustrating.

Overall a good visit.
Couple small items that are not to the fault of the owner. A beautiful property and home with everything needed for a stay. Property is managed so it seemed the cleaning crew overlooked some items. Not a deal breaker but definitely a turnoff. Close to Middlebury and a perfect quiet fall retreat.

Beautiful Home
The house was perfect for our group - plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and a chef's kitchen for sure. The two living areas were very nice. It would be a great spot in the Summer as well. We were very disappointed we had to check out at 10:00am and it was daylight savings so it was really 9:00am.
Both the home and the location were excellent! The house is so lovely, and it's 10 minutes from the Lincoln Gap, from cute things in Bristol, and close to good skiing. For those with kids, there's a playground in the back and an elementary school playground across the street! We'd definitely stay here again.

Nice and quiet New England home with a mix of the original build and design with some appliance upgrades and sunroom. Not real close to the ski mountains but close enough to access several in the area. Everything went exactly as planned. No issues whatsoever.

Beautiful modern farmhouse feel! Spacious & Comfortable
We loved staying at Lincoln Escape! It was a beautiful house and our favorite room was the dome with all the windows- especially the two diamond windows. It was perfect for what we were looking for; private and only 25-30 mins from Sugarbush Mountain. It snowed overnight one of the days we were there and we really appreciated the walkway being shoveled for us! Thank you for a great trip!

Our 16 hour drive for a White Christmas to save 2020 would’ve been thwarted with the 24hours of rainfall had it not been for this glorious abode! The home is set in an idyllic town with a sweet country store and a scenic drive to the slopes. There are beautiful views out every window. Inside, there are lots of rooms to rave about: cooking in the well-appointed kitchen with Viking gas stove and every modern convenience was delightful experience. The kitchen is a modern centerpiece to the adjacent rooms: an architectural atrium where we played cards, chess, watching Christmas movies and sketching. Also off the kitchen is a cozy living room where we had a fire burning every night. As an artist, this room was my favorite, I could read about the artists on the walls of the home and enjoy a small table for painting! Upstairs, the bedrooms were laid out with high quality bedding and ample blankets on cold nights. The bathrooms kept their historic charm while simultaneously feeling updated and spotless. Our family of 4 had plenty of room to spread out, I believe this home is ideal for any sized family gathering, we’ll be back and bring our siblings! Worth the drive from Charleston SC, thank you for sharing your Vermont retreat with us. Vacasa was the management team and they handled the property perfectly.
