Very peaceful property with amazing hosts! The cabin was everything we could have hoped for, the Ketchers were so kind and welcoming, and there was plenty of activities within a reasonable drive, not including all the activities at the cabin itself! We would absolutely stay again!

This was our first VRBO experience, and it was a good one! This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Our goal was to relax, read, and explore the area paved bike trails. The cabin was conveniently located just 10 miles from the Heartland Trail and 20 miles from Itasca State Park. Our hosts welcomed us, provided wood for a campfire, and suggested local dining options when we inquired. The cabin was very cozy even on a rainy evening. We enjoyed time on the deck overlooking the pond. We noted how quiet and dark it was at night away from traffic noise and light pollution. All in all, we were very satisfied and would consider a return stay.

We had a great stay! The cabin had everything we needed, especially the full kitchen, which made it easy for us to cook our own meals. The place is very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed the lake access, and it was awesome that there were enough kayaks for all four of us. We also spent our evenings by the firepit, which was a nice way to end the day.The hosts even left us a thoughtful gift basket, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a relaxing trip, and we’d definitely stay here again.

The cabin itself was comfortable, with a great shower, comfortable furnishings, and a well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms.Unfortunately, the listing misrepresented the property's location. It was advertised as a two-bedroom cabin on Lake Osage, with photos of a beach and two docks, and encouraged guests to "Bring your boat!" In reality, the cabin is not on the lake. It sits across a public road on a small, shallow pond. You cannot even see the lake from the cabin because the owners' lakefront home is between the cabin and the water. The pond in front of the cabin was muddy, covered with lily pads, lined with tall shoreline weeds, and less than a foot deep even at the end of the dock, making it unsuitable for swimming or docking our pontoon. Although there is a narrow channel connecting the pond to Lake Osage, it was so narrow that we did not believe our pontoon could safely pass through. When we asked about the beach and docks shown in the listing photos, the owner explained that they were located on her property. To reach them, we had to walk across the road, around the owners' home and through their private backyard to use their beach and dock. While we appreciated the offer, that is not the same as renting a lakefront cabin with its own private beach and dock. We specifically chose this property because we wanted privacy and direct lake access for swimming and boating. The listing also used the owners' lakefront address, so when we looked up the property on a map, it appea

We are disappointed that you feel the listing is misrepresented. Unfortunately, we cannot control the lake level especially when we are in a drought. The property is one parcel of land (our house and the cabin/guest house) are all one parcel of land, hence the same address. It is no different than a resort where there isn't separate addresses for each cabin. Also not every cabin has the beach directly in front of it. Our other guests all enjoyed the beach and the docks for fishing.

A wonderful place and a great time. The Ketcher’s cabin was lovely, well stocked and a great size. It has a huge deck out front with a round, glass table with umbrella and 4 rocking chairs. The kitchen even includes a dishwasher which is a rare find in any up north MN cabin. The brand new cookware (Carote)was so awesome we are going to buy a set for our home. The outdoor grill is ready for anything you want to throw at it. Best of all were the owners. Very kind, super helpful people who offered their own docks across the street for fishing. We caught oodles of fish from their docks which topped off our last night. The Ketcher’s also gave us some background on their cabin and information about the area including good restaurants. We were greeted by a nicely scented candle and a basket on the coffee table that was stocked with S’mores fixings. Unfortunately due to the high wind and low humidity we were unable to make s’mores as no fires were being allowed. The cabin also has fun and cute plaques all over the walls. We brought along trail cameras and caught pictures of bunnies, a fox, and a deer. It was an enjoyable time and we will definitely be booking again.
