Our stay at this Shelter Island cottage was absolutely wonderful! The home was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.One of our favorite features was the large backyard—it was perfect for relaxing, enjoying meals outside, and letting our dog run around. We especially appreciated that the property is truly pet-friendly, which made traveling with our furry family member so much easier.If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay on Shelter Island, we highly recommend this cottage. We would happily stay here again!

We (two adults and three grandchildren) had an amazing week at Julia’s house.First, the property truly feels like a home. Everything is high quality, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable stay. The top floor is practically brand new, with a beautiful bathroom, a large bedroom, a TV room, and a charming little sleeping nook that quickly became one of the kids’ favorite spots. The lower floor has two additional bedrooms, another living room, a spacious dining area, and a fantastic kitchen.The second highlight was the heated swimming pool, which is approximately 20 meters long and 4 meters wide. It was perfect for lap swimming, but also a huge hit with the kids!Finally, the location is excellent and very convenient. Within a five-minute drive, we found the island’s largest supermarket (IGA, with reasonable prices), one of the island’s best restaurants (Salt, quite expensive but excellent), a very nice café (Stars Market), and the beautiful Mashomack Preserve.Julia was wonderful and helpful throughout our stay. Her instructions for the house were concise, easy to follow, and remarkably thorough.We had a fantastic time and would absolutely love to come back!
