About this property

Mini Moose Cabin: New Listing, same great cabin with AC!

The Mini-Moose Cabin is a recently renovated/upgraded cabin which backs up to the Gallatin National Forest on a quiet dead-end street and only 7 miles from the West Gate of Yellowstone National Park and under 5 miles to Hebgen lake and a public boat launch. We’ve recently added AC as well! The cabin has a fantastic view of Lionshead Peak and the surrounding mountains of the Continental Divide. It has 725 sq ft of living space, including 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Laundry Closet with stacked washer/dryer, Large Open Family Room/Dining Room, Kitchen plus over 300 sq ft of covered side and front porches to enjoy the beautiful mountain views! This cabin is ideally suited to accommodate two adults with two to four children. We do allow one well behaved dog of less than 60 lbs for a pet fee of $100 per stay.

Decorated in a rustic mountain cabin theme with both new and antique furniture, fixtures and household items, the cabin features circle-sawn Douglas Fir flooring with knife-drawn edges, reclaimed barn wood wainscoting, knotty pine walls/and ceiling, wood burning stove, large windows throughout to enjoy the mountain and forest views, covered front and side porches, etc. And don't let the size fool you - this is a VERY comfortable open-spaced cabin with some of the best mountain views in the area!

Mini moose cabin was very comfortable and cozy. It is a very professionally designed & decorated to be a rustic cozy and cute lodge. The location is great, just about a 14 minute drive from west yellowstone. It is professionnally managed by a top notch property mngt company, and it was well stocked with everything anybody could need. I would definitely stay there again.

Property had just about everything needed, including a cooler you could use for day trips to the park! Would recommend having folding/camp chairs available for taking into the park as well. Setting and location were perfect.

While this is a new cabin for us, it is adding to our other five homes that we have owned and managed for more than a decade.

Why they chose this property

This location is just so special. It is one of only a few spots in West Yellowstone that permits rentals making it a very special spot to stay when visiting Yellowstone National Park, recreating in the vast Federal lands or popping in to ski at Rendevous Trails in the winter. We love doing all of those things personally, so when we were given the opportunity to buy this property, we didn't think twice. We look forward to sharing this home with our guests as well as spending time there with our three boys.
