Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Haus - eine in traditioneller Bauweise restaurierte ehemalige Schmiede - liegt sehr ruhig in einem Ortsteil mit nur fünf Häusern und ein wenig abseits der Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten der Cevennen. Es ist geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Lediglich einen Schrank für unsere Kleidung haben wir vermisst, aber als ehemalige Camper hat uns das nicht gestört. Die Vermieterin Agnes war sehr nett und bemüht, uns alle Wünsche zu erfüllen.

Un séjour parfait

En famille, nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans une région superbe, au calme et au contact des animaux. Nos filles ont adoré. La maison de campagne est spacieuse et très bien équipée. Les propriétaires sont vraiment très accueillants. Le lac de Villefort (Pavillon bleu) à 15 mn en voiture est un plus pour la baignade et les activités nautiques qui y sont proposées sans parler des superbes sentiers de randonnées environnants. En résumé une très belle découverte !

Very pleasant, comfortable and well-equipped property

We took advantage of a log fire as the weather was unusually bad for June. Comfortable seating in a large main room which was open plan with a dining area and kitchen. Well equipped all round. Bedroom and bathroom/WC on main floor, with another bedroom and WC downstairs, also with external access, although that toilet was not functioning. Parking a little tricky as the space was shared with a couple of tractors and the sheep came by every night! But we managed. Were greeted with a bottle of wine and a jar of absolutely delicious blackberry jam. Lovely view across the hills. Very rural hamlet. Basic provisions and an excellent restaurant (les Tilleuls) in nearby Provencheres.

Un beau séjour !

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cette belle maison (grande pièce de vie pleine de charme), bien équipée et idéalement située (non loin de Villefort et de son lac et au départ de nombreux sentiers de randonnée). Le jardin commun avec la maison d'à côté a donné pour nous à de belles rencontres et des moments très conviviaux ! Nous recommandons chaleureusement ce logement :-)

Bel endroit.

Très bel endroit en Lozère. L'accueil fut très chaleureux. Le petit hameau est niché dans les collines. La vue est belle et le calme est là. Le gîte est très spacieux et très agréable pour une famille. La proximité du Lac de Villefort est appréciable pour les enfants. Le passage quotidien des brebis est très pittoresque. A améliorer: la modernité des appareils peut-être ?

be prepared to bring a car, a good cooler for daytrips. this is not for the lamy family wanting a pool, but a great place for walking, cold swimming and enjoying great landscapes. do not underevaluate the local shop, prices are lower than in the city. not a great place for disables, but once in the house it works well.

cela fait 15 ans que nous revenons toujours avec plaisir à la Fare. Nous passons d'agréables séjours dans cette typique et charmante maison cévenole. La vue est magnifique. En été ou en arrière saison, tout l'équipement est prévu pour des déjeuners au soleil ou des soirées au coin du feu. Pour les fan de nature et de calme, n'hésitez pas ...

Nos vacances en août 2013 à La Fare, Prévenchères.

Nous avons passé une très bonne quinzaine de vacances là haut sur la montagne. Nous avons apprécié d'être en pleine nature, les fenêtres donnent sur un paysage magnifique, le jardin est mi -ombre, mi-soleil, très agréable avec les chaises longues. Voir les troupeaux de brebis a beaucoup amusé les enfants. Le gîte est agréable, surtout la très grande pièce à vivre où chacun peut s'installer selon ses activités. Nous avons trouvé sur la table beaucoup de documentation sur la région, et aussi un bon pot de confiture. Le café à l'entrée de Prévenchères est tout à fait original : il offre régulièrement ou des concerts ou des cafés littéraires, ce qui repose des activités physiques. Nous recommanderions cette location à nos amis, à moins de souffrir du mal des transports car les routes tournent beaucoup !

A very fine place to stay in your holiday

The description of the house and the location is very precise. Everything was functioning and practical. The owners gave good advice and information, they were wery friendly and easy to talk to in spite of my missing french. I would gladly recommend the house to my friends, I already have, and we are actually considering to return next summer. Our primary interests have been the mountains and riverbeds, and the excellent bathing place in Lac de Villefort. The environment offers very fine walks and trmendous views over a very wide landscape, the temperature is agreable, warm and not too hot, and it is a pleasure to return late in the afternoon to a cooling and quiet house in La Fare surrounded by green hills and a high and wide sky.
