About the host
Hosted by Crystal
I grew up in the country, where some of my favorite memories were made outdoors—running around barefoot, exploring, enjoying the animals and simply having room to breathe. As life got busier, I found myself longing for that slower, simpler feeling again.
That dream eventually became Woodview Hideaway. My husband and I took a piece of raw Texas land and began creating the kind of peaceful retreat I remembered from childhood—a place where you can hear the birds, walk beneath the oak trees, watch for wildlife and slow down for a little while.
Little Woodview Hideaway is our cozy guest retreat tucked into that property. I’ve loved adding the small touches that make it feel warm and welcoming, from a comfortable bed and morning coffee to the walking trail, fire pit and quiet places to sit outside.
For me, hosting is about more than providing somewhere to sleep. I want guests to arrive, settle in and feel like they can exhale. Whether you're here for an Aggie weekend, visiting family, working in the area or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, I hope you leave feeling a little more rested than when you arrived.
Around here, we like to say: slow down, stay awhile—you’re on Hideaway time now.
Why they chose this property
We love this area because it gives us the best of both worlds—peaceful country living while still being close to Bryan, College Station and Texas A&M.
The neighborhood has a relaxed, rural feel with beautiful oak trees, open skies, wildlife and plenty of quiet. You can wake up to birds instead of traffic, spend an evening around the fire pit, or take a stroll beneath the trees and truly feel tucked away.
At the same time, restaurants, shopping, entertainment and all the excitement of Aggieland are just a short drive away. It’s that combination we enjoy most: you can spend the day exploring town, cheering on the Aggies or visiting family, then come back to the Hideaway, leave the bustle behind and enjoy a slower pace.
It feels like a little piece of the country without having to give up the conveniences of town.
What makes this property unique
What makes Little Woodview Hideaway special is that it’s more than a place to stay—it’s a little retreat of its own.
Tucked beneath beautiful oak trees on our peaceful property, the tiny home gives guests the feeling of escaping to the country while still being close to Bryan, College Station and Texas A&M. Step outside and you’ll find a private walking trail, fire pit, places to relax beneath the trees, birds and wildlife, and plenty of room to simply slow down.
Inside, we’ve focused on thoughtful comforts rather than clutter—cozy bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, great coffee, fast Wi-Fi and the little details that make arriving feel easy. Even having just one TV is intentional: we want the Hideaway to be a place where guests can stream a favorite movie, but also have a reason to put the screen down and enjoy where they are.
And then there’s Boban, our resident sulcata tortoise and unofficial Chief Relaxation Officer. You may spot him enjoying the slow life—which he has clearly perfected.
Little Woodview Hideaway was created for guests who want comfort and convenience but also crave something increasingly hard to find: quiet, nature, privacy and permission to slow down.
