About this property

Feel close to the Allgäu mountains, Forggensee, 3 BR, smoke-free, wireless

Enjoy the holiday home (with approx. 100 m²) for up to 6 persons with three bedrooms, shower / WC and WC in the 1st. Floor and living room, kitchen u. Game room on the ground floor. If you need Wi-Fi access, one word is enough. Through your own front door you enter the smoke-free apartment. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate pets.
Shared hours in conviviality in the parlor of the former farm, cozy conversation in the kitchen or rather absorbed in a book - all this you and your family can experience at the same time in our cottage at the cottage garden.
Close to the center you can enjoy your holidays in our house of our former farm. In the garden you will find sandpit, swing and slide and space to play. Roßhaupten is an ideal starting point for all holiday activities of hiking, biking, mountaineering, water sports on the royal castles Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof, feet with the High Castle, the museum of the city of Füssen (violin making) and the charming old town ...

Amazing location and host

Bridget was WONDERFUL. She met us up on arrival and gave us a tour of the property. She also baked us some welcome treats and did some laundry for us. There were two wonderful bakeries and a great Italian restaurant within a a few blocks. There was also a mini-golfing spot within walking distance. We loved our stay.

Great stay

Very welcoming hostess, large apartment with well set up kitchen and great shower and comfortable beds. Very convenient location, we particularly loved the play park and mini golf and bakery . Highly recommended , an easy drive to the castles. Just wish we’d stayed longer than 3 days!

Wonderful Stay

Roomy house with great park nearby

This house was a great fit for our large family. It is close to a great park that includes a minigolf course. Down the street are a bakery and the local church which is very nice. 20 minutes from Neuchwanstein. Host was very helpful.

Perfect in every detail

Very well decorated and clean, you could tell that the owners put care into preparing the apartment for guests. Kitchen and appliances fully funcional, beds were SUPER cozy. Apartment was very spacious and well divided. Simply perfect! The neighbourhood is also amazing for biking and hiking.

Comfortable apartment in a beautiful area

Overall was a great stay. Plenty of room for 3 adults and 2 kids. The hosts were extremely friendly and offered several suggestions of additional sites to see. They even left some raspberry cake for us. The area is very quiet with very little traffic. It’s a very short drive to Fuessen, as well as Schwangau, so plenty of options to eat and sites to see. Would highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay in southern Bavaria.

Quaint house and neighborhood with amazing host!

This was the cutest neighborhood with an adorable house. Easy parking and checkin tour by host. House was great. Beds were the most comfortable of all our road trip (thank you!!). Host was so accommodating - going above and beyond helping us solve a travel problem (not involving the house). Upon checkout she told us there's nothing we need to do as we're in vacation- we loved that! Great English speaking. P.s. the town doesn't have much open in the evening- just a couple of restaurants (bring cash as one didn't take cc).Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Bridget is a fantastic host. Lovely cake when we arrived, beautiful flowers and local treats when we left. Helpful recommendations. House is lovely and fantastic location. Highly recommend. Only downside was VRBO didn’t communicate charges that had to be paid to owners on site. Wish we had been given total amount not just initial charge.

Small town, big space, great owner.

We used this as base camp for trips to Neuschwanstein (20 min), Fussen (10 min), Uberammergau(40 min), and Zugspitze (50 min). Fantastic little restaurant 3 minutes walk away (incl. German beer garden) and two great breakfast delis where we had pastries both days. Grocery store two minutes walk past restaurant. We did not try the recommended restaurant across the street from the house as we wanted a traditional Bavarian experience. The German restaurant was so good we went two consecutive nights. Figure 25€ per person for great food, dessert,, and beer or wine. Regarding the house: Accommodation clean and comfortable. Kids playroom, living room, and well equipped kitchen downstairs. Upstairs three good bedrooms and two bathrooms. Only one shower. So peaceful and quiet. Parking right outside front door. Laundry was easy as owner helped us with on-site machines. This was about halfway through 16 day trip so we had a lot of laundry to do. Easy. Great base to explore region.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schön! Die Umgebung ist ruhig und voller Natur & freundlicher Leute, man wurde immer gegrüßt und viele Aktivitäten waren in der Nähe. Wir wurden warm und herzlich empfangen, erhielten sogar Kuchen & Marmelade als Geschenk. Das Ferienhaus ist groß, es ist genug Platz für uns 5 gewesen und man konnte sowohl drinnen als aus draußen schön sitzen und essen oder Spiele spielen. Spacious, clean house large enough for our family

The space is large with lots of beds so it was perfect for our family of 5. Nice kitchen and appliances made it easy to cook food for dinner. Hosts are very kind and speak English very well, which made communication easy. They were very helpful with dinner recommendations and laundry. And the delicious apple cake was such a nice touch and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend.

Tolle Ferienwohnung in traumhafter Lage

Wir hatten einen rundum schönen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung war absolut sauber, top ausgestattet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die super nette Vermieterin – herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ein Traum – ideal zum Entspannen und Erkunden. Roßhaupten ist ein toller Ausgangsort wenn man das Allgäu oder auch Tirol entdecken möchte. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Sehr nette, unkomplizierte und überaus zuvorkommende Gastgeber, die uns nicht nur ermöglicht haben, mit einer 7. Person zu übernachten, sondern uns auch mit einem Kuchen überrascht haben. Auf jede Frage gab es hilfreiche Informationen und Tipps. Die Unterkunft: drei vollwertige Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbetten, ein kleines Badezimmer mit Toilette und eine weitere, separate Toilette. Zwei Aufenthaltsräume, ein Spielzimmer, eine Wohnküche und ein schöner Gartensitzplatz. Das ganze in schöner ländlicher Umgebung, nicht weit von Füssen entfernt. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den täglichen Bedarf fußläufig erreichbar.Alles blitzblank sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
