About this property
NEW · Remodeled 4 Bed · Sleeps 10 · Near Tarleton
Welcome to White House on 67, a newly remodeled 4-bedroom farmhouse on a quiet caliche drive just off Highway 67, three miles from Tarleton State and under two from the downtown square. Three king beds, a fully privacy-fenced backyard built around a fire pit, and a dedicated office with a barn door. Whether you're here for graduation, Parents Weekend, a game day, a family reunion, or a work trip that turned into a family trip, there's room for ten people to actually spread out.
Inside, everything is new. New flooring, fresh paint, and brand-new furniture and beds throughout, all styled with a Texas ranch feel, from the windmill wall art in the living room to the boots and stars in the dining room. The kitchen runs the length of one wall in gray cabinetry with a full electric range, dishwasher, and a Keurig with K-cups to start your mornings. A formal dining room seats eight, a round breakfast nook sits just off the kitchen, and a pair of leather swivel chairs makes a quieter corner in the living room. The living room is built around a white brick fireplace with a big smart TV above it, and the fireplace works, so you can run it on a cold night.
All four bedrooms are on one level. The primary has a king and a private ensuite bath. Two more king rooms sit down the hall, and the fourth is set up for kids with a twin, a pull-out trundle, and a second twin against a shiplap wall, decked out in Tarleton purple. Every bedroom has its own smart TV.
Out back is where this house earns its keep. The whole yard is enclosed by tall wood privacy fence with mature oaks for shade and a wide open lawn. One big pea gravel area anchors it. Half sits under a covered pavilion with the gas grill and a wicker loveseat, and right outside the cover is a stone fire pit ringed with six Adirondack chairs under string lights. Texas flag cornhole boards are out there too. We provide the propane for the grill, you bring the firewood.
You'll park under the two-car carport and walk in through the door directly in front of you, into an entry with a bench for boots and bags. There's plenty of additional room on the property for up to six vehicles, and trailers are welcome.
What's included: - Primary bedroom: king bed, smart TV, private ensuite bathroom - Bedroom 2: king bed, smart TV - Bedroom 3: king bed, smart TV - Bedroom 4: twin with pull-out trundle plus a second twin, smart TV - Living room sectional sleeps one additional guest - 2 full bathrooms, both with shower and tub combos - Dedicated office with desk, chair, and sliding barn door - Fully equipped kitchen with electric range, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator - Keurig coffee maker with K-cups - Formal dining table for eight plus a round breakfast nook - Second seating area in the living room with leather swivel chairs - Living room with working white brick fireplace and large smart TV - In-unit washer and dryer in the laundry room off the kitchen - Privacy-fenced backyard with mature oak shade - Covered pavilion with gas grill, propane provided - Stone fire pit with six Adirondack chairs and string lights - Texas flag cornhole boards - Two-car carport plus room for up to 6 vehicles, trailers welcome - Central air with propane furnace heat - High-speed WiFi throughout - 2,108 square feet, single story, no stairs - 3 miles to Tarleton State University - 1.7 miles to the downtown Stephenville square

Why they chose this property
Finding a Stephenville rental that sleeps ten is hard enough. Finding one with three king beds is close to impossible.
Most houses this size hand you one king and expect the rest of your group to sort it out. Here, three couples get real beds without anyone negotiating, and the fourth bedroom is set up for kids so nobody ends up on a couch unless they want to be.
The office is the other thing that sets this house apart. It's a separate room with a desk, a chair, and a barn door you can slide shut, not a corner of a bedroom with a nightstand pushed against the wall. Anyone traveling for work, sitting through a class, or catching a Sunday call has somewhere to do it.
The location splits the difference in a way that matters more than it sounds. You're three miles from Tarleton, about nine minutes, and under two from the downtown square. Close enough that game day, graduation, and dinner downtown are all easy. But the house sits back on a short caliche drive off Highway 67, outside the traffic and street noise that comes with staying near campus on a busy weekend.
Everything inside is new. New flooring, fresh paint, brand-new furniture and beds, and a backyard built from scratch for groups. It's styled Texas through and through, from the windmill art to the boots and stars to a kids' room done up in Tarleton purple. As our newest Stephenville property, it has been set up with care from top to bottom.
Whether you're in town for a Tarleton game, graduation weekend, a family reunion, or a work trip that turned into a family trip, this house gives your group room to be together and room to get away from each other.
What makes this property unique
- Three King Beds: Three couples travel comfortably without anyone drawing the short straw. Most houses this size give you one king and a pile of queens.
- A Living Room That Actually Fits Ten: An eleven-foot sectional, a second seating area with leather swivel chairs, and a fireplace wall with a big smart TV. Nobody's sitting on the floor.
- Dedicated Office with a Barn Door: A separate room with a desk and chair, away from the bedrooms and the living room. Not a laptop on a nightstand.
- Backyard Built for Groups: Tall wood privacy fence all the way around, mature oaks for shade, a covered pavilion with the grill, and a stone fire pit ringed with six Adirondack chairs under string lights. This is not a slab and a plastic table.
- Close to Tarleton, Away From the Traffic: Three miles to campus and under two to the square, set back on a quiet drive. You get the access without the 1 a.m. street noise.
- Two Dining Spaces: A formal table for eight plus a round breakfast nook off the kitchen. Somebody eats while somebody else is still working.
- Freshly Remodeled Throughout: New flooring, fresh paint, and brand-new furniture and beds. Nothing here is a hand-me-down.
- Texas Through and Through: Windmill wall art, boots and stars in the dining room, a Texas flag cornhole board, and a kids' room done up in Tarleton purple. The house has a personality that makes it memorable.
- Smart TV in Every Bedroom: All four rooms plus the living room. No fighting over the remote.
- Everything on One Level: No stairs anywhere, which makes it easy on grandparents and toddlers alike.
- Room for the Whole Caravan: Parking for up to six vehicles, and trailers are welcome. Rare for a group house this close to campus.
