Escape to our cozy lakefront cottage on peaceful East Lake - your perfect home base to explore the beauty of Michigan's upper peninsula. Wake up to stunning views over the water, enjoy coffee on the deck and end your day watching fabulous sunsets around a crackling fire in the fire pit. "John's Place Across the Lake" is centrally located to some of the UP's best attractions - Oswalds Bear Ranch, Garlyn Zoo, Tahquamenon Falls, Kitch-iti-kipi, the Soo Locks and just a ferry ride away from Mackinac Island! The North Country Trail is steps away if you enjoy hiking. 2 bedrooms and a loft with sleeping and sitting area, sleep 6 comfortably with linens provided. Pack n Play provided for the littles. 1 bathroom with stand up shower with bench and washer / dryer, complete with towels, hair dryer and soaps/shampoo. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, microwave and all the essentials to make great meals on site. Living room has a 65" tv and dvd player stocked with lots of great movies for hanging out, or if you prefer video games, we have a game table with over 500 arcade games. Outdoor space includes spacious deck and fire pit area along with a gas grill. East Lake is an excellent fishing lake with lots of perch, pike, bass and sun fish. A boat launch is just a few doors down if you prefer to tow your boat up with you. Ideal for families, couples, fisherman or anyone looking to unwind in nature, we'd love to host you at "Johns Place Across the Lake", where fresh air, quiet waters and cozy nights await!
