Terrific choice for us. Easy access to subway and plenty of nearby food choices. Don’t miss the lovely little bar/small plates spot, The Perch, directly across the street

You were such a breeze to host! Please come back next time you are in the big city!
Ben is very easy to communicate with! Place was super clean. Bed very comfortable. Easy walk to coffee shops ( though there is a coffee maker and supplies in apt). Would definitely return.

What a lovely studio apartment in a vibrant, accessible neighborhood. This apartment is perfect for a couple or a family of 3. We very much enjoyed the location and walked to Central Park, Museo del Barrio, Townhouse Coffee, Perch cocktail bar and the East Harlem Bottling Co. The shower was good and the apartment was new, comfortable and clean. Check in/out plus communication was easy.

Thanks so much for the glowing review Jennifer!
You were awesome to host and I hope you review next time you find yourself in NYC!
Space was great and good for what we needed. Proximity to downtown Manhattan was ideal (near subway line) and just a couple blocks to the top of Central Park which was a beautiful place to walk in the mornings. Close to small little grocery stores and shops to essentials and a great taco/burrito place on the corner for a quick dinner! could have used more TP and paper towels for a three night stay w/ three people but host was very accommodating and we got what we needed. Building was safe, clean and ideal location. Would definitely stay here again.
My best friend and I stayed here for a girl's trip and had the very best time. It was super clean and communication was excellent. We didn't explore the neighborhood too much, but it seemed safe and we were only a couple blocks from the subway which made making it downtown super easy!
The place was great for our group of 3! Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, and the fold-out chair/single bed was also quite comfortable. Ben made sure to leave us extra pillows and blanket for the fold-out bed, and enough towels and washcloths for all 3 of us. Ben was a great host, very communicative and wanted to make this the best stay possible. Check-in process was easy, and check-out was even easier. Ben answered all our questions in a timely manner, and made this a great Vrbo experience.Convenient location to the 6 subway line, about 25 minutes to places like Madison Square Garden and Midtown. East Harlem Bottling Co and Good Eats Bake Shop right across the street were delicious. I would stay here again for a future trip to NYC!

You are welcome back anytime!
I cannot say enough amazing things about this VRBO! From start to finish, everything was absolutely wonderful! The location was PERFECT, especially being so close to Central Park and everything New York City has to offer. It made our trip even more special, and I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! And a HUGE shoutout to our host, Ben!! He was absolutely incredible, so kind, welcoming, and helpful! Having such a wonderful host made the entire experience even better. You can tell he truly cares about his guests and wants them to have the best possible stay!If you're planning a trip to New York City, LOOK NO FURTHER! I would recommend this place a thousand times over! I already know exactly where I'll be looking to stay the next time I'm in NYC. Thank you so much, Ben, for helping make our trip so memorable!
Ben was undoubtedly the BEST vrbo host we have ever had! The place was spotless, and we were able to check in early to accommodate our flight schedule. Ben was kind enough to go the extra mile and check in with us to see if we needed anything. His attention to detail was impeccable. There’s lots to do around this place. Walk, bus, subway, you name it. We had the most wonderful time in the city, and we cannot wait to be back! Thank you so much, Ben!
I had a 10/10 experience staying at this property! It was more than enough space, and awesome to have a full kitchen and king sized bed. I stayed here with my mom, for our first time to NYC, and it was beyond our expectations. About a 5 minute walk from the subway and there is a corner store is feet away, there was even a laundromat and 24/hr grocery store within walking distance. Ben was an amazinggggg host, I could go on and on about how sweet he is! He called in advance to make sure nothing changed and had no problems with us checking in/out late. The property is super secure, you have your own code and there are 3 doors you have to unlock to get to your room. I will definitely be coming back here soon specifically because Ben made my trip feel like I was at home! I wish I could keep this place a secret, but it is definitely a hidden gem. It was very clean as well and also felt like a hotel because of the towel and bedding quality.
We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was newly renovated, spotless, modern, and honestly even better than the pictures. Everything felt brand new, the bed was very comfortable, the AC worked great, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a large fridge, microwave, stove, and a fully stocked coffee station.Check-in was super easy. The building also felt secure, with two entrance doors plus the apartment door all using electronic passcodes. The location was convenient: Central Park is about a 6-minute walk away, there are groceries and bodegas nearby, a bus stop right in front, and subway stations about 7 minutes away in either direction. We came home quite late a few times and personally never had any issues by being cautious. Most importantly, Ben was an amazing host. He welcomed us with rosé and cupcakes, held a parking space for us, regularly checked that we had everything we needed, responded very quickly, gave us great local recommendations, and even left us a parting gift. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests. We would absolutely stay again!
Ben’s place is wonderful. The apartment is beautiful, nicely renovated, & very comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, & the brownstone’s renovated lobby is adorable. I loved the coffee bar with syrups and flavored creamers, you rarely see that in a short-term rental! The location was perfect for my trip. I was at a conference at the Barrio Museum/Museum Row, just a 9-minute walk away. The subway is a quick walk from the apartment, & the 6 train gets downtown in about 20 minutes. I didn’t need an Uber once I arrived. There are also plenty of grocery stores, cafés, & places to eat nearby. The value was excellent compared with downtown hotel prices. A couple of things to know: there can be nighttime noise from the neighborhood and other, what seemed to be, short-term guests in the building. I had one quiet night, but another night I was awakened around 2 a.m. by guests shouting in the stairwell. That experience can be a toss up based on who is next to you during your stay. The mini-split provides good white noise, so I kept it running at night. The neighborhood has a noticeably rougher feel than tourist areas, with street trash and a prevalent marijuana smell. I did appreciate the building’s two locked entrances. Ben was an excellent host, very communicative, attentive, and thoughtful, even checking in about making my arrival after a red-eye more comfortable. Overall, a beautiful apartment, excellent host, great value, and very convenient location.
Beautiful studio, room larger than most NYC hotels. Communication excellent. Ben responds to inquiries quickly, makes sure you have what you need.First thing you notice is the smell of cleanliness. Fridge w/freezer that actually keeps ice cream frozen! Keurig w/java. Drinking/eating utensils for 2, pot & pan.Bathroom is beautiful! Wait until you see it! You'll say "Oh my gosh! What a beautiful bathroom!" Towels, body wash, shampoo & conditioner. BYO lotion. Good water pressure, hot water in a short time. Chair folds out to a very firm single bed. King bed comfortably firm, fresh white linens & comfy pillows. A remote control for heat & a/c easily understood. Did not use t.v. so can not tell you about it. But it is there. It exists. Interesting picture books available for perusal. Crack one open!Nighttime street noises can be interesting, they add nicely to the NY experience. Noises do settle down later in evening. Police & Fire station a few blocks away so you'll hear many sirens. However I, used to quiet nights, easily fell & stayed asleep. Apt neighbors are quiet. Subway easily accessed. Neighborhood safe for daytime walking. I walked after sundown being actively aware. I myself would not go past 1.5 hours after sunset. But that's just me as a lone female not used to NYC. Use your own judgement. Plenty of nearby restaurants & bodegas. Some eateries take cash only, some deliver. USPS office within walking distance, have been advised to not use street mailboxes.
