On the outskirts, 1 km from the centre of Invermoriston, in a secluded, sunny position, 1 km from the lake. Private: natural garden. Patio, parking at the house. Shop 10 km, grocery 10 km, supermarket 40 km, restaurant 2 km, café 2 km, bus stop "Tourist Information" 10 km. Golf course (18 hole) 18 km, riding stable 20 km. Nearby attractions: Urquhart Castle 20 km, Loch Ness 1 km, Loch Ness Monster exhibition 20 km, Glen Affric 40 km, Invermoriston Waterfalls 1 km. Please note: car recommended. Property ref. GB8807.601.1 is situated on the same property. The property is conveniently located with easy access to Inverness and Skye while being close to the banks of Loch Ness. Behind the house you can walk through the private 8 acres of woodland which lead onto The Great Glen Way.

Kitchen (oven, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, microwave, freezer) with dining table. Upper floor: 1 room with 1 double bed. 1 room with 2 beds. Bath/shower/WC. Heating. Patio. Barbecue. Beautiful view of the forest. Facilities: washing machine, iron, hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smoking house. The garden is regularly visited by all kinds of wildlife, from badgers to deer to the elusive pine martens, a haven for wildlife and bird lovers.

Home away from home!
This cottage is exactly what we were after when visiting. The check in process is very easy, clean and very homely. We hired a car as when booking we knew we wanted to be a bit out of the way but this ended up being central for everything we wanted to do for our stay. We would stay here again as it really did feel like a home away from home!

The vacation rental was nice, the bedrooms were a bit small as well as the bathroom. We had 4 adults sharing a small bathroom. We really needed an extra bathroom. We expected to be able to walk around the property but it was a bit grown up as far as vegetation.

Very dirty with mice
Nice cottage but in poor and dirty condition. Outside was full of weeds and not kept. Inside was dirty and I saw mice in the living room, and mice droppings in multiple rooms. The owner is not a real person, it is a company called Interhome, and their communication was poor.

We truly appreciate your feedback on your recent stay. We regret that the experience did not meet expectations or our usual standards. As the keyholder was not made aware during your visit, the opportunity to address the issues immediately was missed. The garden has since been attended to and is now on a regular maintenance schedule. Given the property’s woodland surroundings, it is possible to encounter wildlife such as mice, squirrels, deer, and birds. Traps are in place and checked between guest stays, though in the warmer months mice may occasionally find their way indoors. Thank you for your comments, which help us refine and enhance our guest experience.
