Terra a Cielo: from earth to sky. That’s what they call houses that span multiple stories, bringing you closer to the sky with every floor! This historic 5½-room house spreads its 160 m² of living space across a total of 4 floors. Parts of the house date back to the 16th century. The wonderfully preserved ceiling frescoes and original terracotta floors in many rooms could tell many stories as witnesses to an eventful past. According to oral tradition, one of the basement rooms was even used as a local prison in earlier times. The surrounding narrow alleys and typical old houses in the centre of Nasca also perfectly reflect the charm so often associated with the Italian way of life. You can enter the house itself through a side entrance or via the partially covered, enclosed courtyard. From here, eight steps lead to an exterior bedroom with an en suite bathroom and the second entrance to the house. An Art Nouveau-style staircase connects the individual floors to their respective rooms and provides access to the various outdoor areas. Once you’ve made your way up step by step, the rooftop terraces offer a heavenly panoramic view over the rooftops of Nasca, the lake, the Castelli di Cannero, and the mountains. But there’s plenty to discover on the ground as well: The lake, with its shores, surrounding mountains, and small villages, invites you to take a close look around and explore the local customs and specialities with curiosity. If you’d like to treat yourself to something extraordinary on holiday, book a tour with the property owner in one of his classic cars and let yourself be chauffeured leisurely through the area. It quickly becomes clear what the French writer Stendhal meant when he wrote to a friend: “If you have a sensitive heart and a shirt, you should sell your shirt to see the surroundings of Lake Maggiore.” You can park your own vehicle either in the partially covered, enclosed courtyard (suitable only for smaller vehicles, motorcycles, and e-bikes) or in the free public car parks located about 200 m away.
