Very clean and cozy. Well kept both inside and out. Great view of the mountains especially at sunset. Kitchen was well stocked so it was easy to prepare a few meals. Although a great breakfast and lunch cafe was about a 10 minute drive away. Laundry facilities within the cabin was a bonus
Off the beaten path and an excellent base camp for exploration of Cape Breton. It was cozy and perfectly appointed. Enjoyed the screened in porch & hammock. Impeccably clean and stocked with essentials. They thought of everything!
We enjoyed our time at this wonderful property. Chris provided excellent communication throughout our stay, including detailed instructions on getting to the property, references to local restaurants and grocery stores, and guidance on departure instructions. During our stay the area lost electricity due to a storm and Chris responded immediately with a backup generator, which he kept running until electricity was restored. The cabin (number 1) was clean and well provisioned, comfortable, and a great base camp for exploring the Cape Breton area. We were pleased with the quiet solitude the cabin provided, while having access to WiFi and streaming services. The enclosed porch, which includes a small gas grill and a hammock, was a bonus! Great facilities, wonderful communication and support, all in a lovely nature setting. Many thanks to Chris and Kerry for a wonderful home during our tour of Cape Breton!
Enjoyed relaxing in this cabin and appreciated having washer/dryer in the cabin. It’s a bit of a drive to Cabot trail, but enjoyed coming back to the peacefulness of this location and lazy mornings.
Our family (mom, dad and our three 18+ children) had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was clean and well-equipped to make dinner after a day of exploring. It was centrally located for the activities we wanted to do on Cape Breton. Overall, we had a great time!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. It is very clean, cozy, nicely decorated and appointed. The view of the Margaree mountains is beautiful and the river is a short walk away.

Chris was awesome to deal with! The cabin was perfect, brand new, and looks exactly like the photos. The property was pretty easy to find and a nice escape from the city. The views of the mountains are fantastic and there are nice trails nearby. Great location to relax and cozy up by the fire, would highly recommend!

We walked in the door and looked around. Literally everything you could ask for was in the cabin. Layout is beautiful, screened in deck is very nice. Temp control is great. There were toys inside for the kids to play with. Just an amazing experience run by great people. Definitely recommend
Our cabin exceeded our expectations. It was so new and clean! We loved it and would highly recommend it. Plenty of room for 4 or 5. The cabin is tucked back in off the main road along with 4 other cabins so you feel like you're in your own little valley.
We loved our stay in this lovely cabin! It is so beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and has absolutely everything you could require. The views are breathtaking, and we so enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch taking it all in. The owners are wonderful, warm and so welcoming. We loved it! Thank you so much Chris and family!
