Rustic chalet "Gallina". Above Sarigo 2.5 km from the centre of Castelveccana, in a quiet, elevated position on a slope, 3.5 km from the lake, in a cul-de-sac. Private: property 1'000 m2 (fenced), terraced garden with lawn and trees. 750 m long narrow motor access to the house (mountain road). Width of access road: 200 cm. Roofed, parking (for 4 cars). Supermarket 3.5 km, bar 3.5 km, bus stop 2.5 km, railway station "Porto Valtravaglia" 3.5 km, ferry "Laveno - Verbania" 10 km, pebble beach "Caldè" 3.5 km. Please note: car recommended. Part of the house is closed and unoccupied. The keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Holiday Rentals in Porto Valtravaglia. The access road is 200 cm wide and 2m high in some places. It cannot be accessed with vans and campers.

Calm, but a bit old

If you looking for a big, spacious and calm place in a rural location with nice garden, nice terraces and good external spaces, this could be the place for you. The inside is spacious too. But the inside is quite old and starting to get a bit warn out and beds not very confortable.

Beautiful location, great chalet

We really liked the space and location of this chalet. It is not ideal if one wants quick and easy access to the lake, restaurants, bars, etc but perfect if one wants peace and quiet, with views of a distant Mt Blanc. The chalet is well equipped, although this is not fully apparent from the description and we found the letting agent (Interhome) were not helpful and dismissive - they just didn't give the information we requested. The local agent and check in person was really nice and helpful however. We had herds of deer and wild goats in the garden most mornings. We shall certainly book again.

Wir waren zu zweit mit unserem Dalmatiner für eine Woche dort. Schlüsselübergabe war problemlos und die Leute bei Interhome sehr freundlich. Die Zufahrt gestaltet sich sehr abenteuerlich. Alles, was größer als ein Familien- Van ist, könnte möglicherweise zwischen den Felsen, Mauern oder Torbögen stecken bleiben. Tip: es gibt zwei Zufahrtsmöglichkeiten. Bei der einen spart man sich ein paar Nerven. Einfach mal googeln. Die Rasen- und Feldfläche am Haus ist so groß wie ein Fußballfeld, perfekt für einen Urlaub mit Hund. Und Hunde gibt es hier jede Menge, die sich natürlich regelmäßig durch ihr Bellen unterhalten. Gassi gehen ist nur möglich, wenn eine Bergsteigerausrüstung vorhanden ist. Das Erdgeschoss ist mit zwei Bädern und zwei Schlafzimmern gut ausgestattet, das Wohnzimmer gleicht aber eher einer Abstellkammer. Das Hauptgeschoss mit riesigem Balkon bietet einen phantastischen Blick auf den See. Die Küche ist etwas zu klein geraten, bietet aber alles, was man da oben zum überleben braucht. Vorausgesetzt die Einkäufe wurden gut voraus geplant. Denn mal eben losfahren und noch schnell etwas Butter oder sonst was einkaufen ist bei der Lage kein Spaß. Das Mobiliar dürfte wohl so aus den 70ern stammen und die Stereoanlage mit Kassetten Deck und Cd Wechsler ist echt antik. Aber alles in allem ein schöner, erholsamer Urlaub. Wer auf Ruhe und Abenteuer steht; Daumen hoch

Heerlijk vakantiehuis in rustige omgeving

We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad! Voor alle ramen screens voor insecten, dus heerlijk met de ramen open kunnen slapen. Rustige omgeving met een fantastisch uitzicht op het Lago Maggiore. Schoonmaak had iets beter gemogen, maar verder een huis met complete inrichting! Dit huis is zeker een tweede bezoek waard!

Malgré un accueil très professionnel nous avons eu une désagréable surprise à notre arrivée : Une chambre en moins à cause de mites qui seraient arrivées subitement !!!! Logement non terminé au niveau des travaux et quelques accessoires de vie à renouveler. Vue très agréable sur le lac. Beau terrain.

Grosses Haus, viel Umschwung

Anfahrt zum Haus ,war wirklich sehr, sehr eng.Nur mit kleinem Auto anreisen ist empfehlenswert. Das Haus ist etwas abgelegen.Liegestühle waren defekt.Ansonsten hatte es alles was man brauchte.Viel Platz,Aussicht,Natur.

Ruim huis, mooi uitzicht en veel privé.

Ruim huis met goede voorzieningen. Meubilair woon/zit gedeelte erg gedateerd. De weg naar/van het huis is de laatste 750 mrt. met een auto, echt een uitdaging om schade vrij te blijven. Wij hebben genoten van de tuin, balkon en het mooie weer.

Wenn man mal da ist - genial

Ist alles wie beschrieben. Sehr sauber, super Seeblick, sehr gut ausgestattet - nur manches ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Die Kommunikation mit der Verwalterin war sehr unkompliziert und nett. Aber: mit einem großen Auto sehr schwer erreichbar. Zentimetergenaues Navigieren auf sehr engen Straßen mit Mauern auf beiden Seiten (und Torbögen, ggf. Umweg mit Dachgepäckträger) auf ca 1 km! Mal schnell an den See fahren geht wirklich nicht. Und ich fahr sonst im Urlaub gerne früh zum Bäcker... aber hier sind auch wir auf Aufback Baguette umgestiegen. Das Grundstück ist nicht ganz eingezäunt und nachts kommt durchaus mal Besuch von ner Katze und nem kleinen Nachbarshund. Ist aber nicht dramatisch. Gassi gehen mit Hund... naja... nur wenn man Wanderungen mit vielen Höhenmetern mag. War trotzdem ein super Urlaub in einem schönen Haus... ideal wenn man einfach in Ruhe den Ausblick genießen will

ein bisschen vernachlässigtes Schmuckstück

Die Lage des Hauses und die GRöße, wenn man in einer GRuppe verreist sind prima. Haus mit großem Grundstück liegen recht ruhig mit wunderbarem Blick über den See. Leider sind einige Möbel sehr abgewohnt, wie z.B. die Wohnzimmermöbel, die völlig durchgesessen und mit zerschlissenen Polstern. Wenig komfortable, z.T. labile oder kaputte Terrassenstühle müssten auch ausgetauscht werden. Die Verwalterin ist sehr nett und kümmert sich schnell.

Sehr schöne Lage, gute Ausstattung. Wünschenswert 3 Teile Bettwäsche, nicht 2. Bitte auch gleich anfangs mitteilen, wie der Müll getrennt werden soll! Anfahrt unbedingt nur mit einem kleinen Fahrzeug empfehlenswert!!

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Haus mit riesigem, eingezäunten Garten. Tolle Aussicht auf See und Gebirge.Die Ausstattung lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig.Sehr gute und nette Betreuung vom örtlichen Hausverwalter.Allerdings ist die Auffahrt zum Haus sehr eng undsteil. Aber mit eingeklappten Rückspiegeln und guter Peilung machbar...Nur das Wetter hätte besser sein können Reisetipps: Außer den Sehenswürdigkeiten am Lago selbst, machten wir einen schönen Ausflug nach Varese. Über der Stadt kann man auf einen Berggipfel gelangen, von dem man eine tolle Aussicht hat. Sehr zu empfehlen!Auch der Vareser See gefiel uns gut, da er, anders als die Gebirgsseen, in einer hügelichen, grünen Landschaft liegt.

Das Haus liegt in einer schöne...

Das Haus liegt in einer schönen Gegend. Sehr ruhig mir großem Garten. Perfekt für Kinder zum Spielen. Leider ist der Weg zum nächsten Bäcker zu weit, dass man ihn morgens "geschwind" unternimmt. Daher sind Aufbackbrötchen empfehlenswert. Im Garten ist außerdem ein Grill vorhanden. Die Fenster sind fast alle mit Fliegengitter ausgestattet. Reisetipps: Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, den Hausberg von Laveno (in direkter Nachbarschaft) mit der außergewöhnlichen Korb–Seilbahn zu besuchen. Ebenso die Wasserfälle von cittiglio und das halb verlassene Bergdorf Monteviasco. Eine sehr leckere und freundliche Pizzeria findet man in Montesole direkt am Strand.

Wer Angst vor schmalen Strasse...

Wer Angst vor schmalen Strassen hat oder ein grosses Auto besitzt, sollte die Unterkunft lieber meiden. Der letzte Kilometer zum Ferienhaus ist wirklich abenteuerlich und bei tiefstehender Sonne oder im Dunkeln schwierig zu fahren, insbesondere wenn man wegen Gegenverkehr Ausweichstellen anfahren muss. Das Haus mit dem grossen Garten ist allerdings dieses Abenteuer wert. Die ruhige Lage mit dem grandiosen Blick auf den Lago Maggiore und die umliegenden Berge, bei guter Sicht auch auf schneebedeckte Gipfel, ist unvergleichlich.Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, die Küche für die Größe des Chalets allerdings etwas zu klein. Der große Balkon, die Liegewiese oder auch der überdachte riesige Carport bieten zu jeder Tageszeit Sonne.Störend wirkte sich im Haus allerdings ein uns nicht bekanntes, insbesondere nachts aktives Tier aus, dass im nicht zugänglichen Dachgeschoss vor allem nachts sein Unwesen trieb und uns manche Nacht den Schlaf raubte. Ob es sich um Marder oder Waschbären handelte,haben wir nicht herausfinden können. Gelegentlich erfolgen nachts auch Besuche von Rehen, Hirschen oder Mufflons, die die im Garten stehenden Bäume anfressen. Reisetipps: Neben den bekannten Reisezielen, wie Isola Bella oder Isola Madre, die man auf keinen Fall auslassen sollte, gibt es aber auch interessante Dinge etwas abseits des Lagos zu sehen. Für Kunstinteressierte ist die Villa Panza in Varese ein absolutes Muß. Eine solche Sammlung von amerikanischen Lichtkünstlern wie Dan Flavin oder James Turrell ist absolut einzigartig. Dazu weitere moderne Kunst in den historischen Räumen der alten Villa.Auch der angrenzende Park ist sehenswert.Der Park der Villa Taranto in Verbania hat uns ebenfalls sehr imponiert. Das Kloster Santa Catarina del Sasso, eine Einsiedelei direkt unterhalb gewaltiger Felsen sollte man sich ebenfalls nicht entgehen lassen, allerdings möglichst nicht am Wochenende, da es dann ziemlich überlaufen ist.Eindrucksvoll fanden wir auch das 850 Meter hoch gelegene Örtchen Santa Maria del Monte sopra Varese mit einer Wallfahrtskirche und einem Stationenweg, der aus 14 Kapellen und 3 imposanten Torbauten besteht. Zuletzt möchten wir noch die außergewöhnliche Kübelbahn auf den Monte Sasso del Ferro erwähnen, die von der Talstation in Laveno zur Bergstation Poggio Sant Elsa in 972 Meter Höhe führt

Zwar kleine Küche, aber gut ausgestattet. Schöne Zimmer, großzügige Gemeinschaftsräume. FürSport und Spiel viel Platz. Matratzenlager toll für Kinder! Zufahrt mit vw– Bus benötigt viel Augenmaß und Erfahrung!

Abgelegenes Haus für perfekten Familienurlaub

Das Haus ist super ausgestattet. Die Küche hat alles was man zum kochen benötigt. Wir waren 2 Familien und konnten uns das Haus Teilen ohne einander zu stören , da 2 Schlafzimmer im Untergeschoss liegen. Der große Garten bietet genügend Spielraum für Kinder. Es gibt kein wifi, was dazu führt dass man seinen Urlaub wirklich genießen kann, völlig abschaltet. Der See und Supermarkt sind nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Das Haus hat für unsere beiden Familien in jeder Beziehung gepasst.

Das Toilettensystem ist zu überdenken. Am letzten Morgen ist die Toilette im Untergeschoss mit der ganzen Kloake übergelaufen - äusserst unangenehm!!!
