My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights, recently. We could not have asked for a better experience at Desirae’s place. Everything was top notch - the amenities, location, communication - all stellar! The bed was comfy and we loved looking out the HUGE picture windows at the old oak trees and pool area. This is nothing short of an oasis inside the city limits. We would not hesitate to book this home-away-from-home the next time we are in Austin!

The place is just a lovely oasis! The grounds are beautiful and serene. Desiree and Cynthia, the hostesses, are a mother and daughter team. They made us feel like we were staying with family! There was not one thing we needed that wasn’t provided. It was so perfect! We cannot wait to visit again!

We loved our stay at this vrbo. The house was very clean and modern but also very comfortable. Perfect spot to chill for a bit in between seeing all that Austin has to offer. Everything we planned to see was either walking distance or a short drive so it's very central to everything. Desirae, the host, was so nice and gave us a welcoming tour when we arrived. Loved the dogs too! We will definitely be back!

Comfortable lodging in a convenient location which served as a good base camp from which to conduct off-property activities. Patrons share common space for cooking, lounging and swimming with the very hospitable owners...and their delightful dogs. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a great long weekend in Austin staying here. The house looked very nice, outside and in. A Great Love Nest

My girlfriend and I stayed here and we didn’t want to leave! The location is close to everything Austin has to offer. The design of the space is so thoughtful and it felt just like we were living in an up-scale treehouse. We felt so connected with nature. The dogs are so precious. (Bella the Basset Hound and I have a special relationship that I will remember forever!) The Owner’s Mom immediately took care of the very few basic coordination items we needed to deal with and she was so sweet and kept to herself so as to not intrude on anything. We had another couple come over for drinks and enjoyed the observation deck with them. Such a special, special place!!!

Blissful Backyard Oasis Perfect for Our Anniversary

We could not have asked for a better location to relax, unwind, and celebrate our 28th anniversary than this spectacular modern home and backyard oasis. The incredible hosts, Desirae and her mother, Cynthia, were attentive to every detail, including a spectacular champagne upon our arrival. We particularly love the architecture, and the attention to detail in both the interior design and the amenities. Everything we needed to be perfectly comfortable throughout our stay. We floated in the pool for hours, staring up at the majestic live oak trees, and played with the friendly dogs during the day. At night, we enjoyed cool breezes (and zero mosquitos) on the third-floor patio with a perfect view of the stars overhead and the Austin skyline off in the distance. Cynthia was gracious enough to show us around her art studio on the property, and of course, we had to bring home a couple of pieces of her beautiful pottery as a keepsake. All in all, an absolutely blissful time—and one of our favorite vacations ever. We'll definitely be back.

Desirae shone in ballet from age three, securing a lead role in the Nutcracker at six with the Fort Worth City Ballet Company. She balanced competitive sports and the arts through high school and college. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, she ventured into creative marketing and opened her graphic design studio, American Pie Design, Inc., in 1993. Yoga became her stress relief from corporate life, and she embraced Baptiste Power Vinyasa and Anusara Yoga for their spiritual aspects. In 2006, she opened Breath and Body Yoga in Austin, Texas, establishing a top-tier teacher training school. She works with University of Texas sports teams, enhancing their strength, flexibility, and alignment. Today, she teaches, tours, and trains, merging vinyasa flow with alignment.
