The “Adlerhaus” is a historic building in Mittenwald, located right next to the Catholic parish church, which was first mentioned in a document in 1674. Through several years of meticulous, detailed work carried out in accordance with historic preservation guidelines, the project team succeeded in blending history with modernity. Exposed concrete, historic beam structures, and large glass elements complement each other harmoniously. In the former threshing floor, several high-end lofts and a garden apartment were created, which are now offered as holiday rentals. Mittenwald’s “Obermarkt”—a historic, traffic-calmed street lined with inns, cafes, and shops—begins in the immediate vicinity.
You can reach the “Gerberkreuz” loft via the stairwell from the car park, which is accessible via Ballenhausgasse. Your parking space is included. A spacious dining area with comfortable chairs, a large leather sofa, and a leather armchair invite you to relax. The view through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors opens onto the large garden with greenery and a pear tree. You can also see the Karwendel Mountains in the distance. Wooden balcony/loggia terrace with a table and chairs.
A digital flat-screen SMART TV and Wi-Fi are, of course, provided for your use. The high-quality kitchenette is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, induction cooktop, and a Bora range hood. The modern bathroom features a walk-in shower with a glass partition and a toilet. An additional guest bathroom is also available. A straight staircase leads you to the loft (24 square metres). A spacious closet and a box-spring bed, built into the historic beam structure, round out the amenities. Please note that you must step over a beam at knee height to get into the bed. Additionally, there is a sofa that can also be used as a sleeping area. Skylights (some of which are electrically controlled) provide plenty of natural light.
