The large, light-flooded and fully equipped detached south-facing red-brick house with a spacious, ingrown garden is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in a 30 metre zone. It offers space for up to 12 people (max. 8 adults + 4 children up to 12 years) in 4 bedrooms on an area of approx. 200m2 and 850m2 of land.

Villa Lumina has floor-to-ceiling windows, underfloor heating and electric shutters. A large hallway on the ground floor, a gallery on the upper floor, a spacious living room with dining area and fireplace, two bathrooms, one of which has a bathtub, fitness equipment, TV streaming, hi-fi system, Nintendo Wii and fibre optic high-speed WiFi are available. The kitchen with utility room incl. washing machine and tumble dryer is fully equipped, including a coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave etc.
Various play equipment (including a football pitch with goals / goal wall, basketball hoop, gymnastics pole, trampoline, table tennis, table football, hoverboard, etc.) as well as a collection of books and board games provide entertainment.

The two terraces (east and south-facing) are furnished according to the season, one can be shaded by an electric awning and has sun loungers. Vehicles can be parked on up to four parking spaces on the property.

The idyllic Schwinde is beautifully situated in Lower Saxony in the border triangle with the Hanseatic city of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.

The idyllic Schwinde is beautifully situated in Lower Saxony in the border triangle between the Hanseatic city of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. It is surrounded by Hamburg, Geesthacht, Lauenburg/Elbe, the old salt town of Lüneburg, Bardowick with its cathedral and Winsen/Luhe, and is not far from the Lüneburg Heath with its numerous attractions (hiking trails, barefoot park, wildlife park, viewing platform, outlet shopping, indoor skiing, karting, etc.).

Various golf courses, including the nationally renowned ‘Green Eagle Golf Course’, can be reached in a maximum of 15 minutes by car. A quiet tributary of the Elbe with a bathing beach is just a few moments' walk away, and the Elbe is ideal for boat trips. The nearby Feldmark, the Elbe dyke and the Sachsenwald forest are ideal for long walks, horse riding, cycling or MTB tours.

There are two outdoor swimming pools in Geesthacht and Tespe as well as swimming lakes in Barum, Brietlingen and Scharnebeck and a natural swimming pool in Bardowick. There are also indoor leisure pools in Winsen-Luhe, Hamburg Bergedorf and Lüneburg (SaLü). Anglers and canoeists will also find their favourite spots in the river-rich surroundings (besides the Elbe, also the Luhe, Neetze and Ilmenau). There are HVV bus routes to Geesthacht, to Winsen-Luhe (railway station) and to Hamburg-Bergedorf (S-Bahn connection, occasionally also long-distance trains).

Various supermarkets, bakeries, banks, drugstores and doctors/pharmacies can be reached in five minutes by car or by bike.

The surrounding area is dotted with picturesque farm cafés, farm shops with regional products and country inns. The theme parks Heidepark Soltau, Hansapark Sierksdorf and Karl's Adventure Village are no more than an hour away, as are Lübeck and Travemünde on the Baltic Sea. The beautiful Schaalsee lake on the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Ludwigslust and the renowned Redefin State Stud Farm are all within the same distance. The Hamburg-Dresden Elbe cycle path runs right past the Elbe dyke.

In late summer, the nationally renowned equestrian event ‘Stover Rennen’ takes place in neighbouring Stove. Also in August, there is a large firework display (‘die Elbe brennt’) in nearby Drage.

Two baby travel cots are available. Each bedroom has storage space for clothes. There are desks in three bedrooms.

Pets:
Bringing ONE cat or small dog up to 8kg is possible by arrangement for 15 EUR per night. One part of the garden is fenced in (no guarantee!).

For families with children:
Children (0-12 years) allowed. Persons over 12 years are considered adults.
The high chairs are suitable for children from 6 months to 10 years.
Not all sockets have a child safety lock.

Grill:
The barbecue is a gas barbecue, no guarantee is given for the filling of the cylinder. Pls allow 2 EUR per use

Fireplace:
Firewood can be found under the carport. Pls allow 2 EUR per use

Waste:
Please separate the waste into organic waste, paper waste, yellow bag and residual waste.

House rules:
Flexible check-in from 4 pm (please contact the host before arrival)

Late check-out until 12 hrs upon request and availability: 35 EUR

Events, parties:
Events other than family reunions and especially parties and stag and hen parties not permitted

Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted in the house, otherwise a cleaning fee of 200 EUR will be charged. Smoking is possible outside.

Towels are available for 3 EUR / person. Bed linen is furnished and included.

We occasionally use the house ourselves, which is why it is fully equipped. When we are not using it, we are happy to make it available to guests, although one room is not accessible.
