Beachfront holiday rental with a terrace!

Welcome to “Bendis' Hus” on Borkum. In our cosy Holiday Rental 1, you can truly relax. It’s just 200 m to the North Sea—with a beach section patrolled by the DLRG!

This 40 m² ground-floor apartment features a living room with an open kitchen, a separate bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, and a small terrace. Plenty of natural light and modern furnishings create a friendly atmosphere where you’ll feel right at home.

You can spend relaxing hours in the cosy living area with a sofa nook, smart TV, and CD player. Here, after a bike ride or a day at the beach, you can watch good films or listen to music in peace.

A modern kitchenette is available for self-catering—including a 2-burner ceramic stove, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a dining area.

When night falls on Borkum, the separate bedroom with a double bed offers a lovely place to get a good night’s sleep. The mattresses measure 2 x 90 x 200 cm and are reversible, with firmness level 2 on one side and firmness level 3 on the other. For your holiday wardrobe, the room features a closet and a chest of drawers.

The well-maintained, naturally lit bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet—as well as a heated towel rack, makeup mirror, and hair dryer—adds to your comfort.

You can enjoy the refreshing North Sea air on the small, furnished terrace in front of the house. (Bicycles are welcome to be parked here.) Or you can take a trip to the nearby beach: At the end of Von-Frese-Straße (200 m), a section of the beach monitored by the DLRG has been set up. During the season, this service will be available again there during the school holidays in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia (July 2–1 September, 2026).

For our younger guests, our family-friendly holiday rental provides a cot, a high chair, and some toys, as well as two 120-cm safety rails, a foldable changing table, a foldable baby bathtub, a toilet seat reducer, and a step stool.

Free Wi-Fi is available for checking email or browsing the web. You can log in to the Smart TV using your own Netflix account.

A beautiful historic mural gives the stairwell a welcoming atmosphere. The apartment is located on the ground floor with just one small step at the front door.

Please understand that pets are not allowed. Smoking is also not permitted in the apartment or on the terrace.

Your getaway on the North Sea—in a central location close to the beach!

At “Bendis’ Hus,” you’ll enjoy your holiday in one of Borkum’s beautiful traditional island homes. Located on a quiet, idyllic street, it offers you a place of complete relaxation. As soon as you enter the house, you’ll be greeted by a charming atmosphere thanks to the special and unique historic mural in the stairwell.

“Bendis’ Hus” is in a very central location, just 200 metres from the beach. About 300 m away is the Südbad, which features beach chairs and sunbathing areas perfect for soaking up the sun; there is also a swimming area supervised by the DLRG. On cooler days, the glistening waves invite you to take a stroll along the beach and enjoy the wonderful North Sea atmosphere.

The larger Nordbad, which also offers plenty of space for sunbathing and swimming, as well as the promenade and the town centre, are just a 3–4-minute bike ride away. Small shops, cosy cafés, and restaurants invite you to enjoy a leisurely holiday stroll. The nearest shopping options are a 6-minute walk from your holiday rental.
