Wonderful view of the bay from our elevated location!! The recommended taxi- Tim- was prompt and courtious. Love eating at the Port Hole and a snorkelling trip with Dive Bequia.Pool was very refreshing. Large spacious kitchen, eating area and out door seating.

Owners are great. The view is spectacular. Great pool. House was beautifully designed. Could have been cleaner and while we were there the mosquitoes were relentless. Otherwise, a lovely rental.

Girls getaway

Absolutely amazing property! It is even more beautiful than the pictures depict! Huge property in which all the rooms open to beautiful views of the water. The pool is a great addition to the other amenities and was beautifully maintained. Close enough to town and great restaurants easily accessible! St. Vincent is a hidden gem in the Caribbean and I will be returning in the future!

Beautiful villa overlooking bay. The pool is fantastic and the view is breathtaking. Transportation (rental or taxi) is definitely needed due to the steepness of the hillside. Noise was an issue several nights (dogs barking and loud music). The villa was nicely equipped. Hosts are very personable and considerate.

Life long dream

This is difficult to write. We stayed at Gingerlilly for a month. We have been gone for almost a week and I miss it every day. House is amazing, Pearl and Johnathan were wonderful. Bequia was all you can ask for, the people ( who we made life long friends), the food the beauty. Gingerlilly was the perfect location to enjoy the absolutely beautiful view, take deep breaths and be thankful for everything Bequia has to offer.I could go on and on but I'll always have the best memories ever and hope to be back soon!

Spacious and comfortable Ginger Lilly

We had a lovely time at Ginger Lilly. The view is fantastic and because it is elevated on the side of a hill there is always a lovely ocean breeze. There is no air conditioning, so it is good to have all the materials necessary to deal with some bites, but there is also a freedom in not being closed off. You can virtually leave your windows open all day and night long. Pearl and Jonathan ( the hosts) are always available in short notice if you need them. This was our second visit to Ginger Lily, and we enjoyed it as much as the first.

Stop searching and just book this

I'm a bit reluctant to leave this glowing review because I know Gingerlilly will be harder to book in the future but this place is magical. The house is excellent for a group, we had 5 adults for a month! I imagine it would be amazing for two as well! (and the price is based on head count, FYI) The pool was the perfect temp, crystal clear salt water had million dollar views and enough room for all of us. The pool surround had enough chaise lounges and shade too. Oh, and an outdoor shower! All the BRs were en suite (we only used 3 of the 4) and each had the same view, mosquitto netting over the canopy beds, nice sheets and pillows and ceiling fans. The rooms are spread out enough so everyone has privacy. One is Pool level, one first level and one upstairs. The 4th bedroom is also pool level and would be good for kids as theres a double and a single bed; The kitchen was better stocked than some of my friends houses. :) Our Hosts, Pearl and Johnathan couldn't have been more helpful when we needed it. Loved all their recommentations. I've been to Bequia a dozen times and I've always rented in Spring. This was so much closer to town and the view was our preference. Don't hesitate to book, but I hope I beat you to it!

Island Paradise

This was our second stay at Gingerlilly & certainly won’t be our last! The house is truly an island paradise. The view is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed watching the activity on Admiralty Bay, the gorgeous sunsets & the boats & stars lighting up the sky at night. The house has an open layout & is beautifully decorated. It is clean, comfortable & equipped with everything you could possibly need. The pool is the perfect place to enjoy the views & float the day away. Jonathan & Pearl were amazing hosts. They went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. We loved our time at Gingerlilly & can’t wait to return!

A bit of heaven....

The property is well maintained, clean and the layout is perfect. Complete privacy is provided. The commanding view of the harbor is breathtaking. Situated well above the harbor means that the drive up to the house is quite steep therefore a taxi back from town is a must. Easy walk down to town though. Because of the ease, availability and cost of taxi service I recommend that you not rent a car. Be aware that the music that is played at the many bars and restaurants carries quite well and goes on quite late. This was our only discomfort. Ear plugs are recommended. I hope that you enjoy Ginger Lilly as much as we did.

Magical Spot To Stay

We just had the nicest 3 nights to start our vacation. The property is exactly as listed if not better. Tons of room, well stocked kitchen, and a lovely welcome package in the fridge consisting of a few beers, milk, OJ, and a tasty homemade bread after a long day of traveling. Pearl and Jonathan are gracious hosts, and were there to meet us upon arrival. They even arranged to have our favorite taxi driver, Elson, pick us up at the airport.... a nice surprise. These folks will bend over backwards to make your stay a memorable one. The location is just enough removed from the Main Street but an easy walk. Coming back from town, a taxi is recommended to save the walk back up the road, which can be hard on older knees. The cost of a taxi is minimal. Highly recommended, and I know one day we will be back. The property is even more beautiful than the pictures depict!!! Merry Christmas and happy new year to you, Pearl and Jonathan. We have a couple new friends on Bequia!!!

A spectacular property with stunning view!

This property is very special, a real party house with masses of space and a wonderful pool area with a really spectacular view! Each of the 4 bedrooms are en suite and generous in size and comfort offering privacy too providing a feel of separate apartments almost within the one property. Very conveniently located but you need a 4 wheel drive as the hill is pretty extreme! Also walk with mosquito repellent! Communication with the owner and local contacts were very efficient. Everything you need for a wonderful stay is here so kick back and enjoy everything Bequia has to offer from this great base. Felt very safe and locals very friendly and helpful. We certainly hope to return!

Renting a piece of Paradise

This property was everything and more. The view can not be accurately described and changes daily..ships, weather, birds. 4 bedrooms, en-suite, for 2 couples was more than adequate. Fairly well equipped kitchen, linens. The negative is a 20% incline road to get up to the house. We taxied with groceries and walked it a few times....brutal! Some slightly worn spots on furniture and Master shower sprayed beyond the shower area. We loved the resident cat who stayed our whole week. Barking dogs thru the night and a club at the bottom of the hill played LOUD Rap music until 2AM on weekends, but not the fault of Gingerlilly owners. We had free excellent WiFi and cable Netflix and Amazon movies. We would love to stay again!

Spectacular views, Amazing house!!!!

The four of us stayed from Feb 25 to Mar 8. The house is very well appointed and has the most spectacular view of Admiralty Bay, Princess Margaret Beach and Lower Bay. The house always has a a cool breeze and the pool is absolutely beautiful. The Ocar area is more lively than Spring, Lower Bay or Friendship. We have stayed in several villas, and hotels all over the island and Ginger Lilly is one of our favorites. The villa was well maintained and the cleaning/maintenance staff were friendly, helpful yet non-invasive. I would definitely recommend Ginger Lilly, it is a great place to relax during the day or evening but close enough to the action to walk (or drive/cab) to the restaurants and bars when you need to get out.

Perfection

This is the best place to enjoy a great view of admiralty bay and relax. We really enjoyed ocar as it's close to the main attractions and we prefer a little bit more actions than the quietness of Spring. Watching the different boats pass-by was entertaining. The villa was well maintained.

Beautiful Place but Mosquitoes Galore

We stayed here for 6 days. Wonderful, spacious 5 Star accomodations with equally 5 Star views. The pool was absolutely wonderful especially at night. Ginger Lilly was very well equipped with all the comforts of home. Mosquitoes were rampant however. My kids got bitten under big time and we almost had to leave early on this account. The Property Manager was very accomodating and provided some lamp zappers that helped a bit. We bought up the whole local pharmacy to curb the mosquito bites and also found the mosquito coils to help somewhat. I would recommend this place however be prepared for the mosquitos particularly in the off,hot season when we were here (ie August). Recommendation to the owner and manager to equip the home for mosquitos.

What makes this property unique

Having visited many Caribbean islands we chose Bequia to build our villa. It's a unique island for many reasons. It attracts international visitors being the gateway to sailing the beautiful Grenadines. The neighbouring island of Mustique with its high end tourist market has close links to Bequia and is easily accessible. The island maintains a strong traditional heritage and even though many residents from abroad have made Bequia their home the island has not lost any of its character.
