About this property

This house has Whistler's best views and is perfect for a family or group of 6. We recently renovated our dream log house on the lake. Our vision was to fuse old with new making it a unique blend of modern comforts while maintaining the charm, character and warmth of the logs. Our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom waterfront Alta Lake location has to been seen to be appreciated. We are on a quiet road just minutes to Whistler creek or Whistler village lifts. Our house contains all the amenities needed for year-round vacation fun at Whistler. You can cross country ski, snowshoe and skate outside our door. The house has 3 bedrooms with Queen beds. The kitchen has all new appliances, including a dishwasher, corian stone counter tops with a huge island for eating and entertaining. We have a huge deck with BBQ and outdoor eating area. The living area has a fabulous soap stone fireplace that heats wonderfully and creates great ambiance. We have a 50 inch HD TV in our living area with great leather sectional couches for a cozy place to relax at the end of the day. Wifi access, use of washer and dryer provided. Great wood and log décor throughout this cabin creates a warm, Whistler atmosphere. The house has ample parking right out front and steps down to the lake at the back.

Lovely place with a great view of lake and mountains

Lovely place right on the Valley Trail with tremendous views, 20-30 minute walk mostly on a separated trail into the market and restaurants at Creekside. Attractive, mostly updated interior. It's a short walk down a trail (crossing the railroad) to the dock. A great place, lovely, and we had a wonderful stay.

Winter Wonderland in Whistler on Alta Lake

We rented this cabin on the lake for our annual ski trip and were not disappointed! A well appointed cabin with all of the creature comforts for early morning breakfasts watching the sun rise over Blackcomb or a night cap by the fire. Bianca and Bart are great owners with detailed information on what to do and where to go for a fantastic vacation. Highly recommended!

Beautiful yet cozy house in a stunning location

My adult children and I had an amazing Christmas in this beautiful log home. It’s elegant yet cozy. The views are second to none. The owners are lovely people who were always ready to help, yet left us to have our private family time. Thank you Bart for keeping up with the wood chopping!

Great Views

Our family had a wonderful stay at the house. The owners live downstairs and were accomodating with any questions we had about things in the house or things to do in the area. We were there in the summer and my kids had a blast walking down to the lake and going on the paddle boat. The best feature of the house is the amazing view from the back porch. There is a shaded area for morning coffee and then shaded from mid-afternoon onward. Great seating outside. We enjoyed grilling and eating outside. This is a nice place to stay if you want to get away from town but still be very close for a grocery store run. We would stay here again.

We have lived in Whistler for over 20 years and both work locally. We love the year round lifestyle offered here and look forward to sharing this wonderful place with you and your family.

Why they chose this property

We searched for a while for a house on this street with the views and quietness that we wanted. We bought this wonderful log cabin and renovated it completely, rebuilding the upstairs, adding a garage and paving out front. We landscaped the garden down to the lake with a great lawn and easy steps to our private dock. We love the water and mountains together so this was perfect.

What makes this property unique

We loved the logs and the idea of creating a uniquely Canadian mountain home. Something about the logs makes you relax and breathe!!. The lake is our biggest love though. All year round the views never get tiring as they change frequently. In the afternoon you see the awesome alpen-glow over whistler and Blackcomb mountains across the lake, morning sun streams into the huge windows and the place is simply enchanting all the time. Easy access via car to Whistler village and Whistler creek makes it perfect for a quiet getaway while being able to enjoy the resort. Our place is perfect for families or singles/couples alike.
