Vacation apartment "Friedersdorfer Mühle" in an idyllic secluded location

Our holiday rental, situated in an idyllic, secluded location in Friedersdorf, Upper Franconia, near the Rennsteig, is a paradise for active travellers (hiking trails, mountain bike and gravel bike routes) and those seeking peace and quiet. Up to 6 people (+2 toddlers) will find a fully equipped and comfortable apartment here, which captivates with its very personal and eclectic decor featuring vintage furniture, flea market finds, and photographic art.
Special requests, such as breakfast service or sauna use, are welcome. It’s also possible to have the refrigerator stocked with basic groceries upon arrival.

The approximately 90-square-meter holiday apartment is located on the upper floor of the former mill.

The apartment has three bedrooms (2 double beds, each 1.80 × 2.00 m, and one single bed, 0.90 × 1.90 m). One additional person can sleep comfortably on the large couch in the living room. The apartment can accommodate a total of 6 people. The kitchen is fully equipped.

If you love peace and quiet, you’ve come to the right place. Apart from the babbling of the stream, you won’t hear much.

Those who enjoy hiking or biking will also find a paradise here. You can either start right outside the door, where there are beautiful trails of all difficulty levels (we’d be happy to share our routes with you on Komoot), or get an overview using the information materials provided. The famous Rennsteig hiking trail is also just a 15-minute drive away.

Shopping options are available in the neighbouring town of Rothenkirchen (bakery, supermarket, pizzeria).
You’ll find a Sparkasse bank, petrol station, deli, and more in “Pressig,” 3 km away.

In the summer, you’re welcome to use the garden. Seating and a grill are available.
Bicycles can be stored in the garage. Charging for e-bikes is available upon request.
