Our stay in McGaheysville was wonderful from start to finish. The house was spotless, comfortable, and exceptionally well equipped. We especially appreciated all the thoughtful additions throughout the home—from the stocked cooking spices in the kitchen and extra toiletries in the bathroom to the jar of chocolates left out for us. The basement was a highlight, stocked with a fun selection of vintage video games, board games, books, and movies that kept us entertained. There are clear, easy check in/out instructions. The host is very responsive with quick communication that made everything seamless. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend booking this stay to anyone visiting the area!

This is a great property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for my daughter’s graduation from JMU. The house is clean, parking is excellent and can fit 4 cars on a flat parking space. The arcade games are fun and there are 2 beautiful decks to enjoy. The host Michael gave us a tour when we first arrived and brought cupcakes for my daughter. Would highly recommend!!

Spanky’s Mtn Clubhouse is one of the best vacation homes we have ever rented. It is beautifully appointed, with great attention to detail. The kitchen was a delight to use - well stocked with nice dishes and cookware, and an assortment of accessories, spices and condiments. Likewise the bathrooms had a variety of supplies for use by the guests. All linens were supplied and were of good quality. The family room had a large selection of books and games. Although we did take advantage of some of the activities on the resort, we enjoyed spending time at the house. The furniture inside was obviously selected with comfort in mind. In addition there is a front porch and two back decks that are very inviting. Mr. Handley greeted us on our arrival, made sure we had the information we needed about our stay, and even helped bring in our luggage. He promptly responded to any contacts made by us. Our only complaint is that our stay was too short .

Spanky’s Mt ClubhouseThis was our first-time reservation with Vrbo. We have our 34 and 32 year old sons for a summer vacation with us. The guys are non-verbal and on the severe side of the autism spectrum. The house is so well build as they ran, jumped, and screamed they did not disturb the neighbors, like when we used to rent condos. The guys were in the downstairs and sometimes we couldn’t hear them. This was a very quiet house and well appointed. The owners you seem to anticipate our every need, down to birthday candles. You don’t get that attention to detail everywhere. We are taking the guys to a family gathering, but the year after that we will be back. Tip: if you are planing on utilizing Massanutten’s indoor waterpark, buy online in advance of your visit. Otherwise enjoy your stay.

This house was perfect for our family. From the minute we arrived my kids dissapeared to the game room, only to be seen again when they wanted to be fed LOL. The home is very clean, welcomming and stocked with all essentials. Kitchen is equipped to cook any meal. Host was very kind. Quiet culdesac and peaceful sleep. So glad we found this place!

Michael was very helpful, and provided a great tour on arrival. The video games were a great touch, and provided great entertainment for our little guy. While we didn't get to spend a ton of time there, we will certainly be back.

Great property!

Wonderful property with all the entertainment teo young kids could imagine. Amazing arcade, central to everything at the resort and stocked with everything you may have forgotten for your stay. Our host was delightful and present at check in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Fantastic stay!

My family and I had a great time on the mountain for a weekend. The home was perfect. Central location to everything we did and my kids loved the arcade room! Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

Favorite place in Massanutten

We have been to about a half-dozen Massanutten properties and this was the best for our family of four. Roomy but not too large, a personal welcome from the owner, amd the arcade games were a hit with the kids

This house was so well stocked, they provided a lot of things that you rarely see in other VRBOs. The game room was such a hit, we ended up skipping some plans out just to stay home as a family and play. The property is lovely in the fall, every beautiful color was right over us when sitting on the front porch. We really had an awesome time at this property and would highly recommend for families!!

Best Cabin in Massanutten

My friends and I first stayed here back in 2017. We loved it so much that we came back all these years later for a reunion. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent stay!

This was the most thoughtfully equipped rental we’ve ever seen. They thought of everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The house is very clean and well maintained. The location is convenient to all the local attractions! We recommend this home highly!

Overall really nice house. Very clean, easy to find things, comfortable beds and nice tvs. My son loved the arcade games. Mike answered messages very quickly, I’ve never had an owner meet us at the property to give us a personal tour but he was there to answer any questions about the property. Great resonantly priced house! Would stay again!
