We loved our stay and it was an excellent location by a beautiful beach that wasn’t crowded. Loved the corner market and walked to a cute Italian restaurant a block away. We had trouble logging onto the WiFi and the owner was super responsive and resolved the issue promptly.
Diane was great helping us out when we had to travel unexpectedly from different parts of the country and come together in Newport. The property was excellent - nice size, well-equipped, good location, and clean and ready on arrival. Would stay there again.
This is a great location. This is also tucked away on a beach that is not swamped!! It was lovely! Loved working with the home owners. They were super helpful and friendly!! Great little place to stay!!
The location of this rental is stellar! Top Notch for sure. Super spacious for our diverse family of 6. A few notes: plan to bring your own spices, oils and pots/pans. The property management is easy to communicate with and the neighborhood is beautiful... make sure and visit The Frog House for your water sports and take a stroll over to the canal. SUNSETS!!!!
House matched the description perfectly. You’re just a short walk to the beach. 5 min walk. One problem with the water heater breaking, the property manager got someone RIGHT out and fixed it right away. Very friendly.

About the host
Hosted by Diane Wilkinson
James & Diane grew up in and still reside in California. They live in a suburb of L.A. and have raised 4 great kids there. As local Southern Californians they know where to the best place to be is...in Newport Beach. This is their occasional 'weekend house' and they're not using it they are happy to share it with you!
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is north of the highly dense peninsula and a little quieter, the beaches are the most beautiful in the city.
What makes this property unique
As seen on the map it is between the canal on one side and the coast on the other. Pacific Coast Highway provides a quick thoroughfare to the peninsula (South) and to Huntington Beach (North). The 2007 property is in very good condition.
