Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Ferien im Baudenkmal’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.
Public transport: To Ilanz by RhB, from Ilanz to Lumbrein by PostBus, then approx. 2 minutes on foot to the house.
By car: Via A13, exit Reichenau, then on the main road to Ilanz, roundabout in the direction of Lumnezia, then drive to Lumbrein, stay on the main road, 30 metres after the church there is a car park on the right, diagonally opposite on the left is the house.
Parking: Public paid parking spaces approx. 20 metres from the house or on the Schulhausplatz (approx. 500 metres away). You can drive up to the house to unload your luggage.
Number of persons 3-6: 2 bedrooms. On the 1st floor 1 room with double bed (180/200) one room with single bed (90/200). In the attic there is a dormitory for 3 persons. The attic can be reached by a steep ladder.
