The entire property is fenced off. Access is through an automatic gate to a driveway of about 200 metres on which there are various parking spaces. The house is surrounded by a large and beautiful paved garden, equipped with umbrellas, deck chairs, rocking chair, hammock, table tennis, tables. This is an old Sicilian farmhouse that has been renovated (2016) while maintaining the original building features: wooden and reed roofs, terracotta arches, Vaselli-style majolica floors, and handmade rustic terracotta from Catania give life to the mood of the house and its surroundings. On the ground floor: large living room with fireplace, stereo, piano; fully equipped kitchen with cooker, oven, microwave, toaster; dining area with table seating 14. Wood-fired oven for making bread and pizzas, barbecue. A fully equipped bedroom, a glassed-in porch with a double sofa bed, an indoor bathroom with shower and an outdoor bathroom. On the first floor: four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room with a single sofa bed. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and methane heating.
In the immediate vicinity is Ognina, a splendid reef with crystal-clear, uncontaminated sea, rich in fish, a true paradise for lovers of fishing and underwater photography. Cassibile is the nearest town. Other equipped beaches in the area are Pillirina, Arenella, Fontane Bianche, and Pineta del gelsomineto. Eloro, Cala Mosche, Vendicari Nature Reserve, San Lorenzo are about 30 minutes away. The house is 50 km from Catania airport, 15 km from Siracusa, 20 km from Noto, 30 km from Marzamemi, 80 km from Ragusa and Caltagirone. Besides Siracusa, other places not to be missed nearby are Palazzolo Acreide, Pantalica and the Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve.
