About this property

The Ormsby House is a 4 bedroom, two story home set on a huge lot. This home is centrally located in South Lake Tahoe, easy driving to the ski resorts, Lake Tahoe beaches and marinas, shopping, dining and exploring the great outdoors.

Centrally located, but yet on a quiet street. It is a short drive to the Heavenly Village-shopping, great dining, movie theatre and more. Just past there is the casinos-concerts and gaming. Heavenly Mountain Resort offers skiing in the winter, and hiking and gondola rides, adventures in the summer.

The entry level includes a family room with TV, 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom.
The upstairs level includes: a living room with gas fireplace, kitchen, full bath and the 4th bedroom. There is a deck off the dining area with a propane BBQ. The deck is a great spot for a morning coffee, evening BBQ or just sitting and enjoying the view and the sounds of nature.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads..
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We like the house very much. Only a few things need to be fix. Also have an iron and a hair dryer would be very helpful.
