Location
Our Villa is Located on the Turtle Bay Resort on the picturesque North Shore! There are tons of fun things to do there; I leave every trip wishing I had more time. There are great restaurants and shopping on site and close-by. Turtle Bay Resort has a surfing and body-boarding beach on the left side of the hotel, and a calm sandy swimming and snorkeling beach right in front of the villas on the right side of the hotel that is great for babies all the way to seniors. We frequently get sea lions that rest of the shore and just a short hike past the horse stables you come to a bay where I almost always see sea turtles! There are two golf courses on site, there is a Spa at the hotel or you can have a masseuse come to your villa. There is horseback riding for adults, kids and even my baby went on a fun pony ride along the beach when she was only 14 months old! Hike or bike ride the 15 miles of hiking and biking trails or the 5 miles of beach or take a Segway tour. You can rent: bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, and surf boards, there are also rentals and lessons. There are multiple tennis courts, a fitness center, we are close to the historic old town of Haleiwa with the island’s best shaved ice and lots of quaint shops and restaurants, jet skiing, fishing tours, whale, turtle and dolphin tours, paddle board or kayak up a river. Watch a luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center, go nut tasting at a local Macadamia Nut Farm, get Pineapple ice cream and run through the maze at the Dole Plantation and take a ride on the pineapple train. Go to Kualoa Ranch location for about 50 different movies, a historical WWII site with bunkers you can walk through, and an ancient historical burial site for the kings. You can go on challenging or easy mountain bike rides, ATV rides, horseback rides and jeep tours there. Take a casual hike through Waimea Bay Beach Park to a waterfall; see the famous North Shore surfing beaches, Banzai Pipeline, Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay. There are lots of surf spots for first time surfers to the most advanced surfer, snorkel at Shark's Cove or Three Tables, take a Helicopter Tour, a Catamaran Snorkel Tour, a Whale Watching Tour, or just spend a relaxing day on the beach or at the pool soaking up the sun!
