Idyllically set in the Untermünstertal district, Rotenbuck, the apartment is an ideal base for hiking and cycling tours, whether by mountain bike or road bike. The trail to Belchen, one of the Black Forest’s most beautiful mountains, starts right next to the house. From here, you can reach the Teufelsgrund visitor mine with its healing tunnels in just a few minutes by car, or visit the Münstertal Benedictine monastery St. Trudpert, dating back to the ninth century. Other nearby attractions include the picturesque old town of Staufen, the mystical Nonnenmattweiher lake in the forest, the spa in Bad Krozingen, and the sunny city of Freiburg im Breisgau with its cathedral and historic old town. The Markgräflerland and Kaiserstuhl regions offer rolling vineyards. A train or car trip to Basel or a day trip to Alsace/France is also highly recommended.
