Dat Meerhuus – Family-friendly vacation rental with a private garden right on Lake Timmeler!

This newly renovated, 80 m² modern vacation rental accommodates up to 6 people and features high-quality amenities, a 200 m² fenced-in private garden, and a location right next to the swimming lake with a sandy beach and an inclusive playground.
Whether it’s a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or a cycling trip with friends—Dat Meerhuus combines modern comfort with especially family-friendly amenities.
Pets are not allowed for hygiene reasons.

The spacious kitchen-dining area is fully equipped and seats up to 8 people. In addition to an induction cooktop, oven, and dishwasher, an air fryer, a SodaStream, a coffee maker, and many other kitchen appliances are available.
To ensure a relaxing start to your vacation, coffee, various types of tea, sugar, and a selection of spices are provided.

The master bedroom, “Möwe,” features a comfortable box-spring bed (180 x 200 cm) with a topper and a spacious closet. This is where the travel crib with a firm mattress could be set up.
The “Robbe” bedroom features a pull-out bed (80/160 x 200 cm), an additional sleeper sofa (140 x 200 cm), as well as a closet and a dresser.

The bright living area invites you to enjoy cozy evenings with a spacious sofa set, a reading chair, and a smart TV. The built-in sleeper sofa (140 x 200 cm) provides an additional sleeping option for guests. From here, you can access the patio and the garden.
Wi-Fi, Fire TV, Bluetooth speakers, DAB radio, and a selection of books, games, and art supplies ensure entertainment in any weather.

The bedrooms feature exterior roller shades, and the living room has blackout curtains.

A bathroom with a sink and toilet, ample storage space, and a separate rain shower and sink round out the vacation rental.

Families especially appreciate the extensive selection of baby gear, including a travel crib, high chair, changing pad, baby monitor, handcart, stroller, and plenty of play options. In the garden, a swing, slide, sandbox, play tent, as well as a Bobby Car and balance bike await our young guests.

After an eventful day, you can relax in a beach chair on the terrace or wind down the evening with a barbecue (gas grill) in your own garden.
Our extras:
A free parking space and a wallbox for electric vehicles (for a fee) right next to the house,
smoke detectors in all rooms, a first-aid kit, and a fire extinguisher,
A starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and cleaning supplies,
A pickup service from the Leer train station (upon request, for a fee) is available to our guests.
Just a few minutes’ walk away is the Timmeler Meer, featuring a sandy beach, a swimming lake, an inclusive playground, and numerous opportunities for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, or boating. At the same time, beautiful bike trails through the typical East Frisian landscape start right outside the front door. A bus route to the nearby towns of Aurich and Leer, as well as a small supermarket with an on-site bakery—which is also open on Sundays and holidays—are just a few minutes’ walk away.
