We were looking for cottage at the last minute with a private dock, kitchen, bathroom, and two beds at a reasonable price. We got exactly what we paid for. However this cottage is very old and barely maintained. We used our Clorox wipes and thoroughly clean everything we might touch. There are very steep stairs that go to the second foor. Two bedrooms with 3 beds. It would be quite dangerous to go down those stairs at night to use the bathroom but there was adequate lighting. I slept on the pull out couch/futon, which was a bit hard. We did have to cross the private road and go thru neighbors yard to get to a rather long dock. We did take a wagon to transport our fishing gear. The upside of our stay was to catch a 30" Musky! If you are looking for a cheap basic cottage at Bemus Point, then this is the place for you!

Not what I imagine the place to look like based on the pictures. I knew it was a simple place, but it was so dirty and someone kept and so run down when the property next door was run down. It was not enjoyable, so disappointing. The dock was across the street in front of somebody else's house, so you didn't even know. If you could use it or not. Very uncomfortable. Left the next day was supposed to stay friday saturday sunday monday last saturday morning

With the exception of the bathroom, the house was clean. The furniture is in poor condition.The bathroom was the main issue. There is an unclean smell emitting from it, which takes over the entire house. Also, when running hot water in the bathroom, the toilet will also fill up with steaming hot water, making the smell even worse.We actually did not spend too much time there by design because we do not feel comfortable. we understand that the price Less than many of the houses around. However, there are many updates that need to be done..

Fabulous place

Our cottage was adorable!!! Everything was very accommodating, cabinets fully stocked, comfortable beds, beautiful lake view and close proximity to everything we were there for. We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed staying here very much, we had warm weather and relaxed on the deck much of the time. Full sized bed did not fit 2 people but we were able to spread out. Nothing fancy about this place, no a/c but we managed fine with fans.

Rustic Fishing Camp

We had a nice stay at this property..the property is as listed an older fishing camp....but was good for the price. If you are looking for a rustic older fishing camp to stay it is what you are looking for ..no air conditioning which at this time of year is something that is very nice to have.

Good location

Well situated to visit Chautauqua and Jamestown. Enjoyed kayaking. With some TLC, this place could be adorable. Windows and screens were quite dirty; otherwise clean.
