We traveled for our honeymoon and I wanted a cozy cabin in the mountains with a hot tub. This property did not disappoint. It was quiet and clean. Serene views and sounds of the Big Thompson River which is steps away from your cabin. Easy to check in/out. Our stay was great!
What a lovely stay. The hot tub was perfection. Even started to snow while I was sitting in it. Really nice place to get away from it all and just focus on relaxing. Host was super responsive and very helpful. I would love to come back again

Enjoyed the hot tub and the stream. The arrival instructions were very clear and communication between myself and the host was excellent. Highly recommended this place even if it’s just for a night.
We were only staying here for one night and I wish it could have been longer. The view of the river was amazing while sitting in the hottub! The host was easy to communicate with. It is close to estes but not in the business of the area.
Cabin had what we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub and the river view. Wildlife sightings daily at property. Just what we needed to get away. Thanks again. We look forward to staying again in the future.
I loved this house . The only regret is the we stayed for one night only . I would definitely be back. That’s one of the nicest , coziest little rentals .
Everything was as described. Everything worked fine including the hot tub. Location is excellent right on the river and close to town. Would definitely rent again.
We liked the cabin- it was very nice. Could use a little updating. Bedroom headboard has had better days ;). There were 2 beds, but was expecting 2 private bedrooms along with the common area/kitchen.
My husband and I were looking to get away from our teenage kids for a couple of days after Christmas. Kozy Kove at Wendy's Cottages was terrific! I loved all the Christmas decorations that made the place so festive and cute. The location was great, the kitchen was big, the bed was comfy, and the hot tub & view of the river were phenomenal! The only not-perfect thing was the internet/ cable access. My recommendation is to download everything you want to watch on your devices before you come because the wifi is sketchy. Other than that, this place is amazing and we'll definitely come back.

Pros and cons
The location was nice on the river, close to
Estes and hot tub. However, the first night we were there I went into the kitchen and a mouse ran across the kitchen and under the fridge. A lot of the dishware is exposed and not behind cabinet door so I wasn’t confident mice hadn’t been on them. From reading the reviews, the mouse is known. Owner was responsive and did send someone to place traps, however, that should already have been taken care of. The furniture is worn, a chair on the patio has torn seat so you can’t even sit on it. As I was cleaning up before leaving, I saw a graham cracker (not left by us) on carpet under sofa that had been nibbled, not sure if the mouse found it?
We loved our stay anyway because the location is wonderful, the cabin is adorable, and the owners are very nice! We did have a couple of issues: hot tub didn't work 1.5 of the 3 days and that was a major attraction for us so we were pretty bumbed. Owner offered to let us use the hot tub in a different until but it would've been too cold a walk back for us. Also, the bed in the main part of the cabin is very very firm for us but there is plenty to still love about this property and there is another bed. We would book again and hope the hot tub is working!
We really enjoyed the house and had everything we needed. It did have mice inside and out. I know outside is largely out of owners control especially when the weather took a turn to cold during our visit. Out each door there were 2 traps and each day we emptied them. Inside one ran across husband leg early in the morning and heard one during the night scratching on our bags. They did get into a little of food until we put everything in frig. We caught one in house. Wasn't enough to really freak us out just unsettling.

It was okay
My Husband and I flew out to Colorado for the weekend to do some hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin, while noticeably older, looked cute online and it was one of the only ones in the area that allowed only a 2 night rental. We were the only people staying at the property, which hosted several other cabins. Lets start with the negative.. The hot tub was dirty and didn't work. The bathroom sink didn't drain, the shower curtain was discolored by mold/age at the bottom and the caulking in the shower was stained from age or mildew. The neighbor on the other side of the stream out back was either on hard drugs or having a mental crisis, pacing and talking to themselves on their front porch throughout the evening. For the price of the rental I expected much much more. The positive is that Colorado is beautiful and we spent most if our time at RMNP or in Estes Park. Also the property Manager was very nice and allowed us a later check out time due to the hot tub inconvenience.

Mouse in the House
We stayed at the Kozy Kove on June 8-13, 2023. We contacted the property owner a week ago about some issues we had and have heard nothing back. Now here is our review. First, the location was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the river and wildlife. The fact that the river was on one side of the cabin and the road on the other was a huge plus for us. However, if a hot tub is not important to you and you want to enjoy the river views, this is not the cabin for you.
We did have a few issues with the cabin that we could have lived with until the last couple of days.
*There was a dirty sock in the corner of the living room when we arrived.
*The shower curtain was too short and the bathroom floor flooded each time we showered.
*The bathroom light fixture was not completely attached to the ceiling.
*The wifi and internet was not sufficient to support all guests at one time. When you are paying a premium, you expect to have good internet. My husband needed to be on a zoom call for work and was unable to connect.
*The last day as we were packing up we realized that we had had a roommate for our stay. I had seen evidence earlier in the week but was confirmed as we discovered that a mouse had helped itself to a lot of our groceries. Again, for what you pay, you don’t expect your cabin to have a rodent(s). The thought of a mouse being in our luggage was horrible.
We enjoyed our trip to Estes Park but will not stay at this property again.
