This property was in an amazing location and it was very easy communicating with Scott. The check in process was very easy and the cabin had everything you might need, including kitchen materials and even kayaks. I could have stayed for much longer than a week!

Everything about the house was excellent.
We had an amazing time at Phillips Lake. The nice quiet setting was just what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. The water was so clear and peaceful we didn't want our time to end there. The location was awesome as well in proximity to the coast, it was a quick ride to the harbor for fresh lobstah, then back to the house to cook them up.
My husband and I enjoyed the week in Scott's cabin! The view was absolutely gorgeous. We loved it so much we utilized the futon couch as our bedroom so we woke up to the misty fog raising off the lake. The kayaks and canoe was an excellent touch. The house is well stocked and Scott is easily accessible and super helpful. I would definitely recommend this cabin and we hope to be back one day!
We thoroughly enjoyed a 2-week stay at this property. Scott was responsive to all our needs. The views of beautiful Phillips Lake from the cabin interior, the deck and the shore were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the loons that often visited our side of the lake. The kitchen was very well equipped, the WiFi and satellite TV worked great. The clear lake water was great for swimming and kayaking. In addition to a canoe and two kayaks, an ample supply of paddles and life jackets is provided. We are a pair of 80-year-olds, so Scott warned us in advance about the uneven stone steps leading down to the cabin from the parking area. We did OK on the steps, but my wife usually needed a hand for stability. Bringing jugs of drinking water down from the car was also a bit of a challenge. We hope to return soon to this lovely spot.

Wonderful camp on a beautiful lake !
We were very pleased with this camp and plan on returning again next year. Born and raised in the area, but now living in Washington, DC for the past 20+ years, I return to the area every summer with my family for vacation. We spend one week normally on either Beech Hill Pond or on Phillips Lake (or Lucerne as I called it growing up -- about 2 miles from the camp but not on the lake) and one week in SW Harbor on the coast. Scott's camp is on a perfect spot on the very clean lake. The cove makes for warmer water and there are plenty of loons to see and hear throughout the day and night. Scott is a great host and has the camp set up very well for visitors. It has all the modern conveniences you need while still being a camp on a lake. It is rustic while being very clean and functional. We were only a family of 3 but we all enjoyed the fact there were several areas one could go to be by themselves if they wanted. Outside there are a few different deck/porch options to sit and many options outside. We liked the fact the camp had a small beach area where you could easily launch kayaks and the canoe. The beach area was also nice to walk slowly into the water for those not inclined to jump off the dock or for smaller children to wade and play. The bedrooms inside are small but perfect! We liked the fact those rooms were darker and cozy. The front main room has fantastic windows for stunning views. My 12 year old loved the loft area - dubbing it Lazy Loft for times he wanted to watch a movie on his portable DVD player, read or play a game with us. Was also nice to have G&M grocery store just a quick drive away. You pay a little more than you would at a larger grocery store in Brewer but can't beat the convenience. Highly recommend this property. We had visitors several times throughout the week (all local family and friends) and all commented on how much they liked the camp. We'll be back for sure!
Great location. The cabin is up to date and very comfortable. The owner, Scott, was very responsive to any questions. Friends and family were amazed at location and how peaceful it is. We will look to staying here again.
Beautiful cabin in the woods on the Lake. Great views. Close to Bar Harbor and Bangor. Great to wake up to the views from the beautiful windows. Enjoyed the fire pit. We could go on and on...Great vacation.
We had a great stay on Phillips Lake at Scott’s house! The view was beautiful and it was the perfect time of the year for some leaf peeping right in the back yard overlooking the lake! The house is close to all; Bangor, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park. And there are a lot of options for shopping close by as well to stock up on groceries or supplies. We love Maine and would absolutely recommend Scott’s place for people who like a quiet, lake house vacation!
Wonderful week. Great memories were made around the campfire, on the dock, in the lake, in the kayaks, eating lobster on the deck...the list goes on. It's a comfortable cabin tucked away off the beaten path, actually a dirt road but don't let that stop you. Location is perfect...close to Bangor and not a bad drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It allowed us to get a well-rounded experience of Maine. Scott was wonderful in communicating before, during and after our stay. The rustic feel of the cabin truly feels like camp, and the living room view of the water is amazing. Highly recommend a stay here!
The house is perfectly located on clean and clear Phillips Lake. It is close enough to make a nice day trip to Acadia and Bar Harbor. My family enjoyed swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and snorkeling in the surprisingly warm water. The house is very private, but still has friendly neighbors right next door. Upon our arrival we were very happy with how clean and nicely furnished the house is. Scott is an attentive, engaging host who helped us with every question and concern we had from the beginning of our booking till the end of our trip. Our kids didn't want to leave!! We will be back!!
Second time we have rented from Scott. It was an outstanding two weeks. We visited family and friends, had lobster at Bar Harbor, and had time to fish for bass almost every day! The view from the camp overlooking Phillips Lake just can't be beat. The loons calling each other made all the difference. Another Vacation we will never forget. Hope to return next year.

Absolutely Beautiful
The view from this cabin is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Scott was very helpful in providing us with necessary directions and other details that were helpful in enjoying the cabin. As someone who cooks a lot, I appreciated the large, well stocked kitchen. There are so many nice touches in decor in the cabin that really made the place feel very homey. I love Phillips Lake and have been visiting since I was a child. Of all the cabins I have rented as an adult, this was the nicest. We enjoyed swimming the clear, pristine water and using the kayaks to explore. We intend to come back next year!

Beautiful lake front cabin, everything you could want in Maine vacation
Everything about this property was perfect for us. The kids loved hanging out and sleeping in the loft, when we weren’t hiking in Acadia we were swimming or kayaking on the lake. Scott provided everything we that we needed and was only an email away when we had questions. The lake itself was breath taking, we loved exploring it on the kayaks and the canoe that Scott provided. Even with WiFi available the kids chose to spend most of our down time on the lake! We could not have asked for a more perfect vacation. Thanks so much Scott for sharing you beautiful piece of Maine with us. We’re definitely planning on becoming regulars as long as you will keep having us.

Outstanding vacation!
We had a great two weeks in June . The first week was a bit on the cool side but the second week was wonderful. Caught loads of small and largemouth bass. The camp was amazing. It faces due East and it was so peaceful to watch the sun come up over the lake and have some coffee in the morning. Many days and evenings the lake would be just like a mirror! Scott made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. The camp not only had all the necessities of home but was beautifully decorated as well. The location was great - near to Bangor and Bar Harbor. Lots to do and see . We certainly hope to be back next year . If you want an outstanding Maine vacation on Phillips Lake, don't hesitate to book early because you definitely will have memories to last a lifetime. Thanks again, Scott, for allowing us to enjoy two memorable weeks at your camp.
