The cottage was just as expected. Wonderful quiet location with lots to do on the water. Big kitchen fully stocked. wonderful deck. Could not ask for a better spot!
Overall, we had a blast! There was 7 of us as well as 2 dogs and there was plenty of room. The kids really enjoyed the pool table. The fact that we could sit on the back porch and watch the kids on the water was perfect. Another huge hit was the paddleboat. Only complaints were the doors were difficult to open at times and the screen door to the porch needs to be replaced. We also had nightly visits from mice. But again, overall we enjoyed our time and would come back and stay again. Thank you for a great vacation!
Great vacation with my family The lake is clean and beautiful and fun to explore. We had a great time and was just the relaxation we needed. The house is full of games, puzzles and pretty much all you need. Thank you Bob and Joyce!
We look forward to our week here every year! Lots of spaces to socialize and the lake is right out the back door. A canoe, two kayaks, a paddleboat and there are plenty of life jackets and water toys for everyone.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lucerne. The camp has a great water front location complete with canoe and kayaks. The camp is roomy with a large kitchen and family area plus a lower level with bunks, couches and pool table and foosball. A large porch with plenty of outdoor furniture and grill to enjoy early mornings and evenings. Great property.
My wife and I had an absolutely great and fun week at this quaint lake house in Maine. Even in mid-June the lake was warm enough for swimming, kayaking, etc. Made a day trip to Acadia which was amazing. Highly recommend this place to all.
Our family absolutely loved our stay at this house. We alternated our days visiting Acadia National Park and staying "home" at the cabin. Acadia is stunning and our family and pup loved hiking and exploring there. We also loved resting up at the house, kayaking, fishing, swimming, reading, doing puzzles, playing games and cooking. The house has a well stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, and cooking utensils which were very organized and easy to access. The home is also well stocked with board games and puzzles. Dinners on the deck gave us an incredible atmosphere and the whole house was perfect for us to enjoy our time as a family without any distractions! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Great house and property with lots of charm. Sits on a nice, quieter cove, which is a plus. Easy drive to Acadia National Park. Great owner too! Worth all the 5-star reviews.
We had a lovely time as always at Joyce's house! The kids love discovering new lake toys every year and we appreciated the opportunity to live right next to the lake for a week and spend our time in and on the water. Plenty of space in the house and sufficient boats and life vests for all.
Such a beautiful location for a fun family vacation. The porch was great for dinners by the lake. The whole family had a wonderful time playing games in the family room, swimming and kayaking. Everything you could want for a perfect week by the lake.
Very pretty cabin on the lake. Area quiet as in a cove. Kids all enjoyed using the kayaks, they always wanted to try and found they love it. They also had fun on the paddle boat. A nice place to return to after sightseeing elsewhere.

Great place on beautiful lake
We had a great stay on Phillips Lake. It was a beautiful location on a quiet cove at the end of the lake. The house was exactly what I expected based on the video. Joyce was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with via text and email. The one thing I should have paid closer attention to was the location. If you're looking for a quiet vacation swimming in and paddling on the lake, this place is perfect, but if you want to enjoy the sights of Maine, it's a bit isolated. I hadn't noticed how far away from the coast it was.

Great Lake House!!!
We rented this house during the week of the 4th of July.
Such a comfortable and roomy home.
The kids loved the downstairs to watch TV and play pool.
Very clean and well built home with well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. The wrap around porch was incredible. The lake was calm, crystal clear and great swimming with nice toys such as kayak, canoe and paddle boat. Kids got lots of fish right off rocks and they loved the campfire on beach at night. Enjoyed a couple of days in Bar Harbor only 40 minutes away. Owner was very nice and responsive. Bottom line: You can not go wrong with this rental. We will be back!.
