The City of Ellsworth is quaint and has an attractive downtown with plenty of cute shops and dining opportunities. Ellsworth is also the gateway to Mount Desert Island (but pronounced "de-ZERT" following French manor of speaking). MDI is the home of Acadia National Park and the Town of Bar Harbor. The park entrance is 25 miles from Pebblenook Lodge and with summertime traffic it is about a 40 to 50 minute drive. To the north, you can explore Mt. Katahdin (the terminus of the Appalachian Trail) inside of Baxter State Park. No matter what you choose to do, there is so much to explore in Maine.
Graham Lake has recently been named #5 for top fishing lakes in Maine. Check it out at https://fishmasters.com/top-30-fishing-lakes-in-maine
Pebblenook Lodge promises to be a wonderful respite in which to relax and enjoy solitude away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. At night you can often hear loons and sometimes owls!
Oh, and you will be amazed at the stars on a clear night on Graham Lake. If you visit in the fall you might even catch the northern lights!

Beautiful & peaceful spot. It was furnished with everything we could need. Kids loved kayaking on the lake too! Hosts were friendly and welcoming. We would come back if we were in the area again!
The cabin was perfect place for our vacation. Plenty of room for our family of 5. The cabin was stocked with everything we would need. The kayaks/canoes, outdoor games and fire pit with a smores kit were an added bonus to our vacation. Close to Acadia and many other attractions which makes it a perfect tranquil location. Would highly recommend.
What an amazing place! Tim and Sharon thought of everything to make our stay one of the best vacations we have ever taken. The house is beautiful and better than advertised! We will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved our stay at Pebblenook. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for. The beds were all comfortable and cozy. We loved the access to the lake and kayaking! The kitchen and bathrooms had so many accessories available. The jet bathtub was cool too! Laundry great. Hosts were so sweet and welcomed us in with many great recommendations that guided our stay. Maine is beautiful and this place really was one of the best parts of our trip!
Our stay at Pebblenook Lodge was fantastic! The cabin was beautiful, immaculately taken care of, and so relaxing to stay in. Sitting on the deck drinking coffee in the rockers overlooking the lake was our favorite part of the day. It was fun to explore the lake in the kayaks, the water was very relaxing and refreshing on a hot day, and the raft to swim out to and jump off of was fun for the kids. It was very quiet and the stars at night were amazing! Bar Harbor and Acadia are not too far away, we really enjoyed the drive out there and ended up going out there almost every day. It was nice to come back to a quiet cabin after the craziness and crowds of Bar Harbor! We would highly recommend staying here!

Not adequate privacy
The home was beautiful. However, the owners stayed on the property in a separate very close dwelling and we did not have adequate privacy. It felt more like an air b and b.
This property was a perfect compromise for the family who likes to relax and fish, as well as hike and do all the sightseeing Acadia has to offer. It’s close to Schoodic Peninsula, Acadia & Bar Harbor, but far enough away from the traffic and crowds to be stress free and peaceful. The house was immaculately clean and meticulously cared for. We caught fish, swam, kayaked, and did all the tourist things we wanted to do. The view is fantastic and the fire pit is amazing. Tim and Sharon are wonderful hosts and you will not be disappointed with this choice.
We were very impressed with Pebblenook. The house was immaculate and perfect for our intended vacation. The house was fully stocked with quality cookware and had a good array of kitchen utensils. The house is conveniently located next to Arcadia and Bangor. Although the weather was really crappy, we took full advantage of our time there to go to Cadillac Mountain at sunrise, explore Arcadia NP, visit lighthouses, went on a puffin boat tour and checked out Stephen King’s house. We discovered at great place, called Pugnuts, to get ice-cream.Our hosts Tim and Sharon were very welcoming and accessible to our needs.
Wonderful place right on the lake. The home is modern, well maintained, and a perfect place to relax after a day-long adventure at the Acadia National Park. We enjoyed our stay and will love to be back.
We really enjoyed our week in the cabin on the lake. The cabin is super nice and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need to cook some super meals. There is a really nice Weber gas grill on the deck that we used almost every night. We loved the stay and plan to return.
We had a wonderful stay at Pebblenook Lodge. The house was very comfortable for our family, and had everything we needed for cooking meals, etc. We loved the yard games, relaxing on the deck, s'mores at the firepit, and swimming and canoeing on the lake. It was a great home base for our adventures to Acadia and Schoodic. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at Pebblenook. It was beautiful, clean, fresh, convenient, and really great for our three kids. They enjoyed swimming and fishing and the house was gorgeous. Thank you!
This was our first time in Maine and Pebblenook Lodge was the perfect place to stay! Not only was it super clean, but the ambience of the location by the lake and the log cabin interior was the best! Tim and Sharon are super hosts with their attention to every detail! They definitely set the bar high for other VRBO’s! We hope to return some day to this awesome property some day! Thank you Tim & Sharon!
Place was as described. Hosts were great. Our toaster broke and the next morning after speaking with the hosts a new one was on the porch waiting for us. They gave great recommendations for around town. We had a great time not only enjoying the lake and house but also adventuring around Acadia, Ellsworth and Mt. Desert Island. Definitely recommend staying here.
Beautiful cabin and property! The cabin was well equipped and clean. Tim was a great host and was quick to respond. Would definitely recommend this home.
