Beau Se Jour cottage was designed and built to be reminiscent of the shingle style cottages which have always been unique to Maine's seacoast.
Sun-filled rooms are tastefully decorated with vintage wicker and accessories. Birch bark railings, a gas stone fireplace, and a moose-horn chandelier give this cottage a distinctive look and feel of an earlier time.

This beautiful setting is perched on Frenchman Bay and has breathtaking views of Cadillac Mountain and Acadia National Park.
If you are a garden lover, our region is for you summer or fall. Enjoy some of the most spectacular old gardens in the country. Asticou, Thuya and, the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Gardens, (Northeast Harbor) Charlotte Rhodes Butterfly Garden, (Southwest Harbor) Beatrix Farrand, (Bar Harbor) Turrets Seaside Garden at College of the Atlantic (Bar Harbor). Many garden tours are offered throughout the summer months.
Beau Se Jour cottage offers a rare opportunity to enjoy a private beach (no public access) for swimming, beach-combing and long walks along the endless shore. How about mussels for dinner? Bring a bucket down and fill it up! Pots for steaming at cottage (and for lobsters too)
The large master bedroom has a king size bed and private bath with sweeping views of the ocean and the mountains of Acadia National Park.
The large first floor bedroom has 2 full size beds, TV and views of the ocean.

Come visit and experience our crown jewel, Acadia National Park both at the Bar Harbor and Schoodic Peninsula locations. Both are close by and you can enjoy all that the Park offers from fantastic hiking (rock or trail) breathtakingly beautiful vistas, Carriage rides on the Rockefeller Roads, kayaking, Ranger Programs (Adult and junior) Sand Beach and so much more.
Enjoy Bar Harbor with its Victorian flare, and the many charming nearby villages and towns each filled with their own unique characteristics.
We will be more than happy to help you with plan your visit so you get the most out of your time in the Acadia National Park region as we live and work in the area we can offer lots of insider hints of places to go and experience. (We both work at Acadia National Park and can offer lots of good information for you)

We will send you our simple pet guidelines upon booking.
Please note: We require a signed rental agreement once you book your visit.
The rental agreement will have all the particulars about the cottage, our names and address, etc.
We offer a fairly lenient cancellation policy but suggest you purchase trip insurance through VRBO (small fee) should your cancellation not fall during the refund period.
