This property is just what I wanted. I could easily walk to both the Gondola and the Lake. The owner of this property lives very close, but was only present when I requested something. I would definitely recommend this property.

Fabulous property, location and hostess!

Ashley is an amazing hostess and took very good care of us during our stay at this lovely duplex in a great centrally located neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe. We had a few hiccups but Ashley was very quick to respond and set everything right and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The property is well provisioned, comfortable, and has nice ambiance. Great tucked away location near the lake, casinos and Heavenly Village. We greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property. Although the property is a duplex it feels like a home.

This home was nice for our family of three to stay in. Our daughter loved walking to the beach and playing on the playground. It was also nice to be at the heavenly gondola so quickly. We had one qualm with the home. The kitchen was not stocked very well. The non-stick pans were extremely scratched, which is very unhealthy to continue to use. We actually went out and bought a pan from Kmart due to the condition of the current pan. There was one large mixing bowl and it had a large crack. Other than that, the house was very nice.

Perfect SLT Getaway - Location Can’t Be Beat

I stayed here for the entire month of February with my husband and three friends and we had a blast. Ashley is SUCH a great host and super responsive as she lives right next door. We rarely had any issues, but if we did, she was extremely quick to respond and have it fixed. The house itself is amazing and in the perfect location. It is situated a three minute walk from a private beach that our dog loved (with an amazing view) and walking distance to the Gondola and Heavenly Village. It was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. You can tell this isn’t the Mattila Family’s first rodeo as everything was thoughtfully laid out and labeled. The kitchen had everything we needed for a month long stay and we cooked A LOT. On snow days, there was a snow blowing service outside clearing our driveway by 7am. TV service and WiFI were excellent. There were plenty of board games provided and a nice, warm fireplace that we really enjoyed. We had 5 adults working remotely for an entire month and internet speed was great. We were able to get in roughly 15 days of skiing while staying here (close proximity to Heavenly) and could not have been happier. We have rented a few times in South Lake and I honestly don’t think there’s a better property to stay at in the area. Thank you Ashley and the Mattila Family for being such gracious hosts and opening up your home to us. We will definitely be back!

Prime location!

The location of this property is its #1 asset. Within walking distance to the lake, shopping, casinos, and gondola makes this very convenient. We left our cars at home for many of our outings. The home is showing its age and the upstairs shag carpet should be replaced, but these minor flaws did not take away from our experience. Being so close to so many outdoor adventures meant that we really didn't spend that much time inside. But when we did, we had everything we needed to prepare and eat meals, play games, read and watch TV or movies.

Heavenly Beachside Getaway

The location of this property cannot be beat. You are a stone's throw of so many things. Whether you are visiting Tahoe for the beach, hikes, nightlife, etc. The house is very cute and in a quiet location. The private beach is a short walk with great amenities. And the host is incredibly communicative and easy to work with. We will be back!

The location was awesome. The property itself was very clean and well-kept. The “private” beach was not that good but since there were passes and it was free, it was nice to have within walking distance. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall a good stay

House is in a fantastic location and as described. As said by others stairs are steep but not an issue for us. Small hiccup with water outage due to the connected unit. Owner communicated with us and got it turned back on fairly quickly. Only negative is it was out again the next day unexpectedly for 15-20 min and we didn’t get a heads up. Overall it wasn’t that big of a deal. Really enjoyed the neighborhood and the house. Would like to stay again in the future.

Very close to the strip!

Nice weekend away! It decided to snow on us unexpectedly but the property was just as its listed and very conveniently located! The only thing i would suggest is leaving a vacuum there (i also completely understand why homeowners wouldnt) but we had two dogs there and i would have liked to clean up after them a little before we left.

Very clean and great location

The property is well cared for and is only a block from the beach. The owner provided beach passes, which was very nice. Check-in was very easy and the rules of the house simple. Bedding was excellent. Only downer was the coffee pot leaked like a sieve, so unable to use that. All-in-all, an excellent experience and I wouild recommend the property.

High school graduation get away

My girl graduated from High school, since she worked so hard, I decided to allow her to hang out with her two best friends at Lake Tahoe. This was the perfect place for them. They could just walk to the beach or the town to enjoy each other’s company.

Clean Property

Property was clean and easy access to the beach and walking distance from town. Stairway to upstairs is a little too steep so if you have small children it could be dangerous or even someone with a disability. Overall it was a nice clean property and they provided linen, towels and necessities. Kitchen and laundry room was a plus.
