This immaculate, updated, non-smoking, Cape style home ( sleeps 6 comfortably)with a mattressed cot and a futon for overnight guests. This home is perfect for families or couples looking for a relaxing vacation in the heart of pristine Sebago Lake, Maine. The home is a 500 ft. walk to 2 beautiful family beaches. Enjoy swimming, boating, snorkeling or just floating in this crystal clear lake. Bring your coffee and listen to the loons on the lake or bring your cocktails and watch the sun set, as the White Mountains tower beyond the lake. The property is in a very convenient location. It is steps to a fabulous west side family beach and ball field. It is a short walk to the ferry landing, restaurant, general store and ice cream stand. A five minute ferry ride will deliver you, in your car, to Frye Island. This Island community is situated on 900 acres and consists of over 600 homes.
Frye Island Activities and Amenities:
14 beautiful beaches surround the Island, each unique with its own character, personality and crystal clear water; 9-hole golf course with restauraunt and bar; outdoor inground pool; ball field (next to property); tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts; kid's playground; ongoing Community Center activities; general store; ice cream stand; restaurant and marina. Enjoy swimming, fishing, snorkeling, biking, hiking, kayaking or just watching the deer as they meander around the Island. If that's not enough, a 15-minute drive to nearby towns of Windham and Naples, provides plenty of shopping, restaurants, boat rentals, amusements and arcades.

Wonderful week stay

The house was perfect for our family of 5. The location to the beach was very walkable, however there was also ample space for a car if needed. The house was also walkable to the general store for a little exercise. The house was clean and comfy. A quiet area was very relaxing. If there were neighbors home we didn’t know it.And the deer were very welcome guests.

Great location and very clean, comfortable home

We had 6 adults. The house is bigger than it appeared in the pictures. My adult children fit comfortably in the home. Love the location of the home. Close to beach 5 for sunsets and we walked to the general store/cafe. House has window unit air conditioners which were helpful. It was hot a few days during our stay.

Sweet little house

This property is a stones throw to one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve been to. The sunsets are spectacular, some of the nicest we’ve seen. The house is simple and sweet.

Immaculate property

This property is a perfect place to unplug and wind down. It is very clean and well equipped. The only items anyone would need to bring are sheets and towels. The island has a small store. Also a restaurant and bar. There are also activities such as bingo, trivia night and a golf course. If you are inclined to do any sightseeing or shopping, Portland, Bridgton, and Freeport are all less than an hour drive away. The owners are friendly and very helpful, sending information about the house and the island, before our arrival date. When we reached the island we received more island information which included a map of the island and a calendar of weekly activities. Do yourself a favor, rent this house, you won't regret your decision.

Perfectly lovely house on an incredible island

My husband grew up going to the family cabin on Frye Island, but once we started our own family, we no longer fit in that cabin with everyone else. When we found this house on VRBO, We knew it would be perfect. And we were so right. This house is significantly larger than the pictures portray, and bigger than what the outside displays upon arriving at the place. The two bedrooms downstairs (with full size beds) are good sized with nice sized closets and dressers. The bathroom is large for the size of house. The upstairs loft bedroom is not fully closed off (essentially there is no door, but there is a wall that mostly seperates it) but it is perfect for kids and teenagers to have their own room! There are two twin size beds and a trundle sized bed! The room is so cute and large. The loft family room also has a futon that is one of the most comfortable futons I've ever sat or laid on. The downstairs living room and kitchen with an eat- in nook that comfortably fits 6 were a perfect size and nice and open for other family members staying in the family cabin down the road to come and visit us during the daytime or for meals. The kitchen was very well stocked - all the things you could possibly need, including spices for cooking and other various cooking items that helped so much during our stay! The cabin also provides a grill out back with a pleasant picnic area that was perfect for the evenings. It also has two air conditioners (one upstairs and one down) and a dehumidifier which kept the cabin a very comfortable temperature. I loved having a washer machine at the house and the simplicity of hanging clothes on the clothesline and drying rack was awesome. The one thing that did surprise me was the fact that you need to supply your own linens. Thankfully, the owner mentioned it in our welcome packet before we arrived so she was completely honest about it and it was not an issue for us. But do be aware of the fact that you will need to provide your own sheets, bathroom towels, and beach towels. The owners of this cabin were very accommodating, extremely generous, and super helpful. They laid out clear & simple instructions and communicated with us to be sure everything was going well at the house (it was perfect). If you are looking for a Frye island cabin, don't hesitate to book this one. You won't regret it and you will have a wonderful time at this dream island. If I could permanently stay on the island in this cabin with my family, I would.

Great stay!

A lovely home, great location, with a super atmosphere on the island. Definitely made the return trip list! Clean home, with everything you will need. Upstairs oasis for young or teenage kids. Close to beaches, fields for playing ball and great bike riding. Although it appears golf carts are the preferred mode of island transportation ( mental note for next time ).

THE MOST AMAZING VACATiON EVER!!!!!

My family and I had an amazing summer vacation in this house! It was extremely clean, well maintained, fun and close to the beach. The house is filled with awesome extras like games, movies and DVDs for the kids. The Frye Island golf course is amazing too! I am planning on renting this house again next year and for many years to come! We have found our perfect get away!
