Hard to leave such a fabulous property, right? No worries. Plenty to do right here. Turn up the grill on the gas BBQ or fire up some fragrant wood in the commercial-sized Santa Maria grill, throw on some grass-fed ribeye steaks and sausages from a local butcher for a mouth-watering dinner in true Paso Robles style. Want some activity? Play petanque or bocci ball in the ball court, throw some horse shoes, play corn hole, feed your inner child and swirl around with a hoola hoop, lounge in the Jacuzzi, then relax sitting around the fire pit while you contemplate the wineries to visit tomorrow.
Welcome to Illumination Ridge - a perfect marriage of outdoor and indoor living at its stylish best.

About the host
Hosted by Miwon Halt
Mom. Wife. Lawyer. Entrepreneur. Mediator. Soccer Mom. Would-Be-Designer. Passionate about family, traveling, our vacation home in Paso, the town of Paso, wine, food, designing and tennis! We used to live in Southern California, and fell in love with Paso Robles during our many trips up here wine tasting. We looked for the perfect location for over 2 years. It took us nearly a year to renovate every corner of this property to make it our own. We believe this property is the perfect blend of clean modern contemporary sensibilities balanced with cool eclectic sensibilities. We love this place; it is our slice of heaven. We now share it with you.
Why they chose this property
We are passionate about Paso Robles!
Paso is the fastest growing wine region in California, with over 200 wineries. Paso is regularly voted one of the best towns to move to, to visit, to live in, etc. Paso regularly makes top ten lists for having the happiest residents and great quality of life. Paso is also ideally situated: It's the midway point between Los Angeles and San Francisco; It's 20 minutes away from the beaches of Cambria and Morro Bay; It's only 45 miles to Hearst Castle. Paso is geographically beautiful: It is nestled in the rolling foothills of the Central Coast's Santa Lucia Mountains; Its landscape is dotted with majestic oak trees and untouched bucolic natural beauty; And, cows, horses and sheep roam the hills grazing on grass, the way Mother Nature intended things to be. Paso is also sophisticated. You will find numerous awesome restaurants, many of them equal to or better than what you'd expect to encounter in the big cities of Los Angeles or San Francisco. These are all the reasons why we initially loved visiting Paso. But those aren't the reasons why we decided to buy a house in Paso.
Here is what truly captured our hearts: Paso is authentic. Paso is the real deal. That nostalgic California - the one that people moved out West for way back when, in pursuit of the American Dream - the one that's really hard to find let alone dream about in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or even Napa - well, that California still exists, right here in Paso. As one young winemaker told us, Paso is a place where a person of modest means can come with nothing but hard labor, but with enough passion and hard work, you can build from ground up into something special. Paso is a special place where passion exists, hard work exists, helping each other exists. We hope you will come visit and experience this for yourself.
