Thacher Vineyard Retreat- 23 acres-2 miles from Downtown Paso Robles

Homestead Hill is a small ranch home on Thacher Winery's 23-acre estate vineyard just minutes from downtown Paso Robles, coastal towns, and over a hundred wineries. Each of the three bedrooms are simple and clean. The home is located on a working vineyard and is ready for your family or small group of friends to enjoy and relax. Depending on the season, you may see tractors or harvest crew; however, work in the vineyard is necessary throughout the growing season. This house has great views of the coastal mountains, is immaculate and private, and is exclusively used for vacation rental purposes.

The full kitchen is modern and equipped with a six-burner range top and warming drawer, GE double ovens, microwave, gas grill & propane, Bosch dishwasher, coffee maker and grinder, and milk foamer, as well as a French press. It has all the prep, serving, and tableware necessities to prepare and serve meals.

Step onto the covered patio and enjoy your meals and some of the wines you collected during your stay. The view from the chairs around the fire pit is best (with plenty of firewood). There is also a bonus room, hidden upstairs in a stand-alone structure perfect for a good book or a movie night for the kids.

This vacation rental is a licensed business within San Luis Obispo County, owned and operated by Land Grant LLC. Thacher Winery & Vineyard Inc. farms and manages the 23-acre ranch and vineyard. No smoking or parties are allowed anywhere on the property.

Best equipped rental I’ve stayed in in years! Michelle thought of everything, from a molecajete for guacamole to firewood for the fireplace. And you cannot beat the view of the vineyards. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Property--Comfortable Accommodations

Our family spent several days on the Thatcher Vineyard property during our first visit to Paso Robles.The views from the house, surrounded by well-manicured vineyards were absolutely amazing. The firepit was our go-to spot for wine at happy hour overlooking the incredible scenery and the fire blazing to warm us up in the evening.The spacious kitchen was well-stocked with every conceivable cookware, plate and wine glass that you would need during your stay. The view was open from the kitchen out to the vineyard, making dinner prep a most enjoyable experience.The bedrooms were outfitted with lovely bedding and comfortable mattresses allowing for restful sleep.Outside of some wear and minor cosmetic issues on the decking, the home was in great shape.The Thatcher Vineyard property was most convenient to Paso Robles, with grocery stores, restaurants, craft beer and great wine.We look forward to our next visit!

My wife plus my son and his girlfriend stayed in Michelle's beautiful 3 bedroom home among the vineyards at the crest of a hill. The place was clean and well equipped and the views were sensational. We loved our stay.

Great place to call home for your next trip to Paso Robles

Four of us stayed at this property for a wine tasting weekend and appreciated the quiet location close to town. It is rustic but nicely appointed with a wonderful kitchen, comfy beds and a great outdoor area with a large deck, bbq and fire pit overlooking the vineyard. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway to Paso wine country.

What a wonderful place to stay! The property has great views and tons of privacy. The house is clean, cute, and very well appointed. Everything you might need for your stay is provided. Wonderful place to stay

This house has it all…location, view, fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds and amazing outdoor space. Our group of 3 couples all had plenty of space and we took full advantage of cooking each night and sitting by the fire pit after to relax and drink wine and create great memories. We will definitely be back. Michelle was an A+ host with a beautiful home.

Relaxing Get Away

Very relaxing home in the middle of the vineyards with a wonderful front porch and views. Private and serene setting and excellent for star gazing at night. Get your constellation app ready to go. Home was lovely in all respects and not too fancy; good kitchen set up for meal prep.

Heaven on earth

To start off this house makes you feel as though you are reviving hotel standard accommodations but if the midst of a flourishing Paso Robles vineyard. Arrival was seamless. The property and its view were incredible, our two children loved being outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed s’mores on the campfire nightly. Very short drive to downtown and vineyards. We can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful retreat in the vineyards

We really enjoyed our three day weekend in Michelle's vineyard home at the top of the hill with an expansive view of the surround. Well appointed and comfortable with a lovely outdoor patio and fire pit overlooking the vines. Beds are super comfortable and the home is very clean. Michelle was great to work with and the whole process was super easy. We will be back for sure!

Wonderful house in wine country

This house was exactly as described. Very clean and well stocked with staples. We really appreciated the great coffee. Loved sitting on the covered patio for dinner at sunset and around the fire ring at night. A beautiful setting for sipping our wine purchases from the day. Thank you Michelle for making directions to get here and check in so easy. I highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

Amazing Gem in Paso Robles

We just stayed at this beautiful property for 5 nights and it was a truly amazing experience. It is very private and secluded in nature but just a short 5 min drive down the hill to downtown Paso Robles so you get the best of both worlds. Walk out your back patio door into a vineyard! Listen to the birds chirp and enjoy the beautiful landscape. The property itself was great, well stocked and very clean and the host was truly helpful as she wanted to ensure our family had a great trip. She provided insight regarding restaurants, wineries, activities for the kids, etc. We will definitely be coming back!

Highly recommended for family getaway

Our family really enjoyed our stay here! In fact, my preschooler asked, "can we stay here forever?" The property is in a great location with vast and amazing views, and has plenty of practical and fun outdoor space to explore (large deck, separate grilling station/hut, lots of landscaping features...). We were also very pleased with the indoor accommodations: great layout, comfortable beds, awesome kitchen (6 burner stove, dual-ovens, and knives that had been recently sharpened!), and beautiful furnishings. We found the home very well stocked with amenities. Thank you very much. We would definitely stay here again!

Incredible Home

We loved every minute of our stay at this beautiful house. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking great meals, and even had a wine refrigerator! The bedrooms were lovely - we stayed in the master bedroom and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Everything was so well thought out and comfortable. The views were like nothing else - we sat on the porch and out by the fire pit with a glass of wine watching the sun set over the vineyard. This property is perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all! Special thanks to Michelle for great communications about getting to the property and making sure we had everything we needed!

Quick getaway

The photos don’t do the house justice! Both inside and out the house was amazing! We had a great time making meals in the well appointed kitchen and enjoying it out on the patio (when it cooled down) dining table taking in the wonderful views. The a/c was a godsend in the triple digit heat! Michelle was extremely responsive and accommodating. We’ll be back!

Perfect Retreat!

Our family of four spent a week at this beautiful property and can't wait to go back. The attention to detail this owner has is amazing. There were so many small touches that made our stay a delight. Local coffee beans, pre-stamped postcards, picnic supplies, bath products, even extra toothbrushes if you forgot yours! This was one of the most comfortable properties we have stayed at. It really felt like being a guest of a friend or family member. We also visited the family winery which was family friendly and had wonderful wines. The views from this property can't be beat and we can't wait to return!

Great Place to Relax and Reset

The property is everything that has been written in previous reviews and more. Spotlessly clean and filled with thoughtful amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable. Grounds are amazing and my family is a group of bird lovers so we thoroughly enjoyed watching all the different feathered friends visiting the property. Michelle is a wonderful host and communicator. We will definitely return. Any time of the year would be a great time to vacation at Homestead Hill!! (Also, the added CoVid precautions for sanitation at this property were greatly appreciated.)

Homestead Hill Vineyard and Vacation Rental has the best of being close to town and it's amenities at the same time it's gives the visitors a sense of peace and quiet being on 23 acres surrounded by vineyard and orchards. It has the best views of the sunrise!
