OCEANFRONT...Clean, Cozy, Comfy...Family Oriented, WELL MAINTAINED

Beautifully decorated and remodeled, oceanfront beach cottage with all the charm of days gone by, with the huge covered porch equipped with big rocking chairs, for relaxing, visiting, reading, and gathering with friends and family. Other than the covered porch there is an open deck for sunning.

The cottage has been furnished with new cottage-style furniture reminiscent of days gone by. There are three bedrooms upstairs... the first is furnished with a king-size bed... the second with a queen-size bed... the third with twin beds. The main floor has a bedroom with single beds, and downstairs is a separate suite equipped with a queen-size bed. This cottage rents from Saturday to Saturday.

The cottage is equipped with an outside shower to clean the sand off, as well as two showers in the house.. On the covered porch is a picnic table where you can gather for meals, if you like, accompanied by the marvelous ocean breezes. Within walking distance is Oceana fishing pier a little farther down is Fort Macon State Park, NC Aquarium, Atlantic Beach Town Park and Splash pad, as well as restaurants, grocery store and entertainment. You can walk to the Circle and enjoy ice cream or food and play volleyball. Let this home bring you all the happiness and fun it has brought our family. Remember, you are only footsteps to the beach! Internet connection is provided. Linens and cleaning are now included in the rental price, not extra fees. Just bring your beach chairs and umbrella for fun in the sun! (not provided)

Drafty, so A/C struggled on windy days

We had very strong winds all week, the house is drafty so the air conditioning could only take the edge off - set at 74, actual would be 80-84. Worse on sunny days. Also, there are not enough outside trash cans for a house this size. Most of the neighbors had twice as many cans. Ours was overflowing when we arrived and we quickly filled it back up after the trash trucks came by.

Atlantic Beach Vacation

Everything was wonderful. The only shortcoming was a lack of cooking utensils & pots/pans, especially of the non-stick variety. Other than that, the house was clean & comfortable, & we all 7 of us had a spectacular week staying there.

Family Reunion

FANTASTIC. This was by far the best family location we have ever had. Our family consists of 35 members. Four homes were rented. My family's home was the absolute best (slept 10). Loved the layout of the rooms and the location...right on the beach! The parking was great and accommodated all our cars. All the rooms were perfect and exceeded our expectations. We will be back!!!

great location - only 1 full bathroom?

we enjoyed our 2-week stay at this beach cottage. fantastic oceanfront location. Everything was very basic-B, as advertised and reviewed. The reason we cannot give this 5 stars is the number of bathrooms was unfairly misrepresented in the listing, and it was detrimental for the comfort and enjoyment of the group. There were only 1.5 bathrooms (i.e. only one shower). So if you are OK vacationing with four bedrooms, 2 toilets and just one shower, this is acceptable. everything else was great, we had a really wonderful trip

Great beach front location

Nice property right on the ocean front. Everything was as listed/described just couldn't control the various lights with remotes other than that I would happily stay there again. My brothers and sister loved it also.

Slice of Heaven!

This house was everything it said in its listing and more! The porch with the rocking chairs were amazing to start the day with a morning coffee and end the day with a night cap. The kitchen is fully stocked and has just about everything you need. The kitchen table was awesome for family meals and for playing games at night. We traveled with our grandchildren so the easy walk down to the beach in the morning and back up for lunch, it could not have been more perfect. We could walk to shops and restaurants from the house. The homeowners were super easy to work with, answering all of our questions timely. Will definitely look to rent this again in the future. Thank you

Nice Location and comfy.

This place was exactly as listed and all the reviews were on point. The additional bathroom and bedroom downstairs is nice for some. We were going to use it as a bedroom but as noted it was only accessible from the outside. So we felt a bit distant from the rest of the family and decided just to use it as a spare bathroom when needed. We decided to all stay in the house which was definitely comfy. There was enough room for the children to share the rooms with the twin beds and the adults took the other two rooms. The laundry room was nice and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had one hiccup which was immediately addressed by the owner so that’s why we didn’t give it a five star rating. But we also know somethings happen and we were happy with Wendy’s quick response. But as I stated it was exactly as listed so no real surprises. We had a great time.

Perfect Family VRBO

There was plenty of beds and space for the 7 of us to spread out and unpack. The basement bedroom/bath was perfect for the teens to set up their gaming and stay up all hours (and therefore sleep in as well). The kitchen was well equipped and the Food Lion delivered very quickly.

Charming cottage at Atlantic Beach

Fun and Friendly Abode by the Sea :)

We had such a fun time at this adorable house conveniently located on the ocean. Nice solid rockers on the porch overlooking the Atlantic, kitchen with lots of tools (even a garlic press!)—we love cooking, so this was such a nice touch for us, and comfy beds. Wendy and Darlene were both awesome and helped us iron out minor details, like the ROKU TV and ceiling fans. A great time was had by all who stayed. We hope to book it again in the future.

Another great stay

Third time over 3 years here and continues to be a very cozy stay. Walk out the back deck and onto the sands to the beach. Will be back. Wendy is terrific and always so responsive.

Another great stay

This is our second time at this property and we had another terrific week. Consistent with our last stay and another already planned again this year. Wendy is terrific and very responsive. Easy access to a great beach and great space for gathering outside also on a large deck. All fun for a family beach vacation.

Great stay!

Really smooth, uneventful stay—in short, it was perfect. Owner communicated everything perfectly and we found everything just as described. Older home with some odd light switch locations but not bad all in all... nice porch and, of course, the ocean right out the back door. Would stay here again! :)

Lovely Stay

Thank you for a lovely stay! We were sad to leave. The house was comfortable and stood up well in the storm. We wanted to call one thing to your attention. The hose under the house has a big hole in it, about 6 feet from the spray nozzle. We discovered it when we tried to wash the sand off our cars after the storm. As a result, we couldn't wash the sand and salt off the decks and ocean-facing windows. Sorry. We thought you'd want to know. Cheers, Gary Shaw

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home! The location was ideal for a week spent enjoying family time. One small issue we experienced is the door handle on the bedroom door next to the kitchen would lock inadvertantly when closed. Otherwise a great time had by all!

A Place In Our Hearts

There is nothing comparable to the character of this oceanfront home on Atlantic Beach. Everything our family of ten needed for a needed vacation. Wendy Rose is an excellent hostess.
