LIVING AREA & KITCHEN...
The central living area with new large, leather sectional couch with a full size kitchen provides a great floor plan for 2-4 people. The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances, countertop, modern backsplash and finishes. There is counter-top seating and a large dining table with beautiful lighting and seating for four or more that is stylish and functional.
Washer and dryer!

OUTDOORS...
Two sets of French doors lead to the HUGE, MULTI-SPACE OUTDOORS. LUSH landscaping and privacy.
Enjoy morning coffee or an intimate dinner at the comfortable dining table on the large, covered, private deck. Step down to the herringbone brick patio that is able to accommodate a small party to dine alfresco. Or take a relaxing nap or read a book on the lounger under the palm.

Less than a one minute walk to the pool

AMENITIES...
This ground floor condo is very clean, and has well-appointed bedrooms which have been completely updated with linens, art work and comfortable beds. A new washer/dryer are located within the unit for your convenience. The fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances, pots & pans, towels & linens and central air conditioning provide all the amenities you want for long- and short-term stays.

You'll also enjoy a 32' flat screen TV in the living room with an Italian-made large, leather sectional. Secure wireless Wi-Fi and and Bluetooth speaker for your device to connect to for music.

Our condo is outfitted with beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, etc.

We also have on-site parking with a designated parking spot, although it's likely you will not need (or want) to get in your car while you're here. NOTE: Our parking lot cannot accommodate oversized vehicles over 18' long (measured from bumper to hitch) or 80" wide.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL...
The Shabby Chicken (for it's shabby chic design) has interesting design elements, such as vintage clocks, modern geometric patterns, original artwork from Cuba and local artists, wood carvings from the Philippines and India, along with beautiful tapestries. The place feels very luxurious, contemporary, and relaxing.

PROXIMITY TO PLACES...
The Shabby Chicken is within easy walking and biking distance to everything Old Town Key West has to offer, including Fort Zachary Beach and a one minute walk to the Truman Annex pool. Walk down to the Truman Annex waterfront to take in a special and low-key sunset for which only the locals know about. Walk or bike through the gorgeous Truman Annex over to happening Mallory Square for shops, museums, and special events.

Key West at Christmas

Property was perfect for our family. We enjoyed touring the island on bikes, lots of trips through the streets of Old Town shopping, dining, touring the sites.

Great neighbor right in the heart of Key West

We really enjoyed our stay. Truman Annex is right in the heart of Key West, was able to walk to everything. Comfortable home with all the extras, beach towels & chairs, cooler. The pool was cool which felt great on the hot days. Would stay here again.

Great place!

We had a great stay at Marie's flat. The location is perfect, just on Duval Street. The flat is very clean, the beds are super comfortable and everything is very convenient. We enjoyed being on the terrace outside and everything was very practical. I hugely recommend this flat and I would like to thank Marie for her fast answers.

Great condo and great location

The condo was perfect for our stay. It is beautifully updated and decorated. There is a back yard that has a deck and patio area and has beautiful tropical plantings. The condo is located in a very nice complex with a nice pool area. It is close to many restaurants and activities. Overall we really enjoyed our stay! I highly recommend this condo!

Christmas in the Keys

Great place! The Shabby Chicken is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We loved that we were close enough to all the wonderful Key West attractions and dining, but staying in a lovely, peaceful condo. We spent a lot of time on the patio and enjoyed the use of the barbecue grill. We arrived tired on Dec. 20th to a clean and welcoming environment. We would definitely stay here again.

This beautiful little gem is our new favorite place to stay in Key West! Walking distance to all our favorite restaurants and Mallory Square. Perfect spot to enjoy your Key West vacation

We loved our stay at the Shabby Chicken! It was the perfect location, being a short walk away from the water/sunsets and also to all the action on Duval Street. The condo had everything we needed, and we really enjoyed the back patio. The Truman Annex was a really nice complex for pool time and walks through the neighborhood. The owner Marie couldn't have been any better as a host. She shared suggestions on what to do in Key West and offered advice throughout our stay. We hope to be back soon!

This property was perfect for our needs.

Shabby Chicken was a delight and—despite the name—there is nothing shabby about it. It is located in a beautiful community with easy walking to the main attractions. The beds were comfortable. Many amenities were provided so we didn't have to buy them - things like dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc. All of us took advantage of the pool which we walked to through the beautifully landscaped property. Marie responded promptly to our questions and was very accommodating, making our stay worry-free. If I ever return to Key West, I would definitely stay here again.

Can't wait to come back

My husband and I came down to stay at the Shabby Chicken for our honeymoon with our good friends. Marie is wonderful to work with and gets back to you quick. The condo was gorgeous and made you feel like you were at home. The pool is not far from the condo and is a nice way to cool off. The pool is also a great way to meet new people and learn of great places to see, try and hang out while there in Key West. The condo is not to far in to the Truman Annex so it makes for easy access to get in and out. The condo is perfectly located so you are a walk away from fun and entertainment. Can't wait to come back to Key West and stay at the Shabby Chicken.

Highly recommend!

Great place to stay! Our family of 5 (with 2 adult children and a 10 year old) had the perfect amount of space to spend the week. The condo was clean and nicely prepared for us, even with an air mattress for our 5th person. The location was AMAZING. We walked everywhere we needed to (except Higgs Beach because it was 1000 degrees but that was technically walkable too). Mallory Square and that area of town was a quick 10 minute walk through the gated community. We rented a car but it sat unused almost the whole week- we know for next time that a car is not necessary. The pool was a quick walk and temp controlled (“chilled” for our hot July visit). Highly recommend this rental!

We had a great stay! Our host was very quick with communication and answerd any questions we had before arriving. I loved the location! It was walking distance to so many things! We had plenty of room to spread out after a long day. I really appreciated that the closets had shelves to unpack suitcases instead of taking floor spaces with dressers. Big thanks to Marie for a great space!

Perfect location for all the things KeyWest

This is our 2nd visit to the shabby chicken and found it just as delightful as the first time. Perfect location for walking distance to Duval street for fun, food and shopping. Easy drop off and pick up location for the bikes we rented. Property was clean, cute and had everything we needed. Host Marie is a delight to work with and very responsive. We even met her delightful cleaning lady, Karen. Thank you for a great week!

Perfect Condo!

I can’t say enough positive things about this condo. We went to Key West for a family vacation in June 2024. The location of this condo was perfect for us - walkable to Duval, the pool, the splash pad, and a variety of restaurants close by. We also rented bikes which made getting around even better! The condo was perfect for our family and we will definitely be staying here again

Fabulous Stay at the Shabby Chicken

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful condo in Key West. The location was terrific, walking distance to all of the sights, shops and restaurants. Inside the condo was also perfect, with an open kitchen and seating. We also truly enjoyed the outdoor patio. The host was very responsive and the rooms were clean and spacious. I would definately recommend this rental for your upcoming stay in Key West.

Almost Perfect

I am a disabled veteran who requires rest throughout the day. It may seem unimportant to others but at bed time It takes time for me to get comfortable and eventually fall asleep. I do this while watching television. I booked this property because it showed a tv in master bedroom photos and also in the description, to my dismay there was no tv in the mb when we arrived. It was very depressing and difficult to lay in bed every night staring at the ceiling. Shouldn’t put things in the description that aren’t there, that’s false advertisement.

The Shabby Chicken was very nice. The location is super. We liked outdoor space. The owners need to update the front door access. The key is in a lock box that is difficult to open. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Great Stay

The Shabby Chicken was right in the heart of KW and allowed us to walk everywhere we desired to go. The parking spot was a nice bonus. The unit, itself, was as described and clean. Marie was great to work with.

Very nice place, great location

Wonderful stay! The location cannot be beat. The condo had everything we needed. We have visited Key West multiple times staying in the Truman Annex, and this is a favorite. We really liked being on the first floor but only wish the early morning weather would have cooperated to allow us to enjoy the back patio for morning coffee, as it is a very nice area. Marie worked with us on the arrival time and departure. We could not have asked for more. We look forward to visiting again and hope the Shabby Chicken is available.

Shabby Chicken

Shabby chicken was perfect in so many ways. Perfect location (5-10 minute walk to everything), perfect neighborhood (Truman annex), perfect size for our family of 4. Property had everything we needed, beach chairs, beach towels, beach cooler, washer and dryer, large deck and backyard space. This property is the best of what Key West has to offer.

We both grew up in Ohio, met at Ohio State University, married and moved to Charlotte, NC and then Chicago. We moved back to Ohio but the winters are long . Visiting Key West allows us to slow down and really enjoy a different pace of life and the warm weather.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property, and named it The Shabby Chicken, for the shabby chic design we choose for the place. The Shabby Chicken is a sanctuary from when life has you running around like a chicken. The lifestyle in Key West and amazing sunsets can all teach us to keep life simple and take pause when you can. The only rush hour here is the walk to your favorite happy hour. We retreat to the keys to unwind and relax, hear live music, eat great local seafood.

What makes this property unique

Our ground floor, large floor plan condo offers more light as the whole back of the place has french doors and windows. Our large outdoors has both sunny and shade areas. The deck and patio is private and very nicely landscaped and has plenty of seating. There is a pull up area at the front door, which makes for easy loading and unloading of suit cases, groceries, etc. You'll have an designated parking spot for your vehicle.
