Welcome to Remy’s Refuge!

Our 4-bedroom, 3-bath Orlando vacation rental house was designed for fun. Bring your friends, your family, and your friends’ families …and bring your pets! We’re dog-friendly here and love welcoming your four-legged family members. Remy's Refuge offers all the comforts of a hotel plus perks like:

An open living space for hanging out together. A private, lake-view pool and spacious hot tub that’s all yours (no need to deal with someone else’s splashing kids)! A game room in the garage a full-size pool table, as well as tables, stools, and an assortment of puzzles, board games, and toys. Two master suites, each with king-sized beds and their own attached baths. Two guest bedrooms that sleep 4 more.

And, of course, the insider expertise of two true Disney Fanatics…us! We are Amanda and Trevor, two Canadians who started dreaming of our own place in Orlando the first day we visited. (Our wish came true in 2014!)

OUR LOCATION

We know you’re wondering…and yes, our location is excellent! In fact, our neighborhood of Oak Island Cove is known for being one of the closest communities to Disney. The nearest park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, is just 3.4 miles away. The furthest park is just 15 to 20 minutes away, depending on traffic.

So when the last firework pops against the night sky at the end of a long, enchanting day, you’re just a short drive from the comforts of home.

OUR POOL

When you get back, flip on the patio lights, and close out the day with one more treat: an evening swim or a relaxing soak in the 7-person hot tub. Our pool area is totally enclosed and private, and backs up against a small lake. Listen to the crickets and frogs and watch the moonlight glitter on the water. And laugh at the mosquitos, which can’t reach you through the screens!

You can also take a Disney-detox day and just hang out together at home. Tired of lounging by the pool? Set up a pool tournament in the game room. Or play a game of cornhole out by the lake! There are countless nearby attractions, too, from wineries to theatres to ghost tours to delicious restaurants.

OUR KITCHEN

Remy’s Refuge makes dining in and saving money seriously easy. Our kitchen is fully equipped with all large and small appliances, plus cabinets stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils...everything. Or mix it up and grill outside on the gas grill. We provide the propane free of charge.

We also offer vouchers for complimentary grocery delivery. Imagine arriving at the rental to a fridge full of your favorites!

You can always put the money you save toward one incredible meal at Victoria & Albert’s (an AAA Five Diamond recipient and Disney’s #1 restaurant).

OUR STYLE

Many Orlando vacation rental homes have “park-themed” bedrooms. We do, too…but we also have the benefit of Amanda’s interior design certification! So our bedrooms are playful AND stylish, and pay subtle tribute to some of the greats: Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Ratatouille, Muppets, Lego and Harry Potter.

Perfect on every Count

This property was in the perfect location between all parks as well as dinning and Walmart. The kids room had a few bins of toys which was a pleasant surprise to our 5 year old. The pool and hot tub were at perfect temperatures and the view of the lake was spectacular. Would definitely make this property our yearly escape!

Disney Christmas Vacation

My family of 6 adults had such an enjoyable stay at Remy’s! The view off the pool deck was such a great way to start the mornings with coffee. The proximity to Walt Disney World is unmatched, we were back and forth often with no issues at all. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Experience

The property was so nice. We fell in love with the neighborhood/area. Such a great place to stay while vacationing. The Disney/Universal parks being close to the house was definitely a plus. It was pet friendly and having a spot to bring my dogs was super important to me. I'm glad we were able to find such accommodating hosts.

Disney and Universal Vacation - Orlando

We had a great stay at Remy’s refuge. The proximity to Disney and Universal was great, the kitchen allowed us to cook a few meals “at home” and save some money, and the house is really close to Walmart and lots of gift shops and restaurants. Our kids had a great time in the pool and also playing pool in the game room. Each room had it’s own T.V. which helped. The adults watched the Olympics and the kids got to play Nintendo switch in their room. Overall, a great stay and the owners were quick to respond to the couple of questions we had and very supportive.

Remy's refuge was amazing!!!!

Great home to stay in while visiting Disney world!!! The moment we walked in were mesmerized by the Disney decor. This spacious home was a "refuge" for our three children, my husband and myself. After walking around Disney world all day and fighting the crowds it was a relief to come back to this home and relax in the screened porch while our kids swam!!!! Wonderful location, home and vacation!! Thank you.

Family month

The local was ideal for Disney and dining. My daughters, granddaughters and son in law were with me for the first week. Kids enjoyed Disney and loved the pool. My sisters and brother in laws came and stayed with me for the last 2 weeks. We had a great time exploring the dining in the area. We all enjoyed the pool area and the lake view. My sisters even commented on how the view reminded them of our family cabin in Pequot Lakes Minnesota. The 4 bedroom, 3 bath house was perfect. I also enjoyed my contact with the property managers. I will certainly put this property on my future vacations

Perfect family getaway

The house was located in a quiet neighborhood and only about 10-15 minutes from Disney World. It’s was very clean and the view of the lake was fantastic. Plenty of room for my family of 6 plus our 1 yr old granddaughter. The house had everything we needed including a crib which actually had a part broken on it but when I contacted the owner they had one shipped out the next day. I would definitely recommend renting this place. I can’t tell you how many places I’ve rented over the years and had average experiences. Between the house and the overall pleasant experience dealing with the owners we will be renting here again. Thank you for a great vacation!

Remy house

Quiet neighborhood, heated pool and hot tub was nice. The lanai could use a new screening as well as screen door seals for the lanai to keep the lizards and spiders out. Standard house nothing too fancy. Outside of house could use pest control spray, as there were ants on the pool deck and a wasp nest above the front door. Master bed could use a new mattress as it kind of felt like you were laying in a hole. Great views out the back, watching the thunderstorms roll in and the lightning shows, backed up to the lake, so you have great privacy

A Wonderful, Quiet Property

Our family stayed at Remy's Refuge for 4 weeks in March and had a wonderful time. We were very pleased on arrival to find the home as pictured, very clean and basic supplies already supplied. We were a mixed group of 3 generations and everyone found the home very comfortable with lots to do. Our 2 year old grandson LOVED the heated pool and spent many happy hours playing in it. We were lucky to enjoy warmer than normal temperatures which really added to our enjoyment. Everything is so close at hand ...theme parks, shopping, restaurants ... Just about anything you could want. We especially enjoyed the natural pond in the back yard that provided a quiet, peaceful oasis to just sit back and relax after a busy day enjoying activities in Orlando. Lots of Hawks, cormorants and eagles for birdwatchers to see! The home is very well equipped and the bedroom arrangements were very suitable for our multi-generational family. I highly recommend this property ... We are already booked for next year!

Great view to the pond out back - property tired and expensive!!

We believed what the pictures showed-unfortunately they must have been taken ~ 2002 when the place was new. Great layout but carpets filthy (wife filled vacuum 4 times in initial cleaning) but of course the marks and stains remained. Appliances need replacement, beds too, plus some interior painting. BBQ non useable, but was able to swap with home next door owned by same people. My wife loved Florida so we looked again for properties. Found one in Emerald Isle Resort with more bedrooms , better furnishings, newer,cleaner for over 15% less per night !! We viewed the property to determine whether to try VRBO again. Otherwise I would not have rented again. Your concept is great, but essentially it is really "renter beware" since photos means very little if they are not current. PS- I wanted to give 2 Stars but my wife loved Florida so upped it to 3

AAU Basketball Tournament

Great stay! The layout of this house was really smart! It was so nice to have two master bedrooms on one side of the house with bathrooms. This was great for my husband and I and the our daughter in the other master. While my son and his friend had their own rooms on the other side of the house with a shared bathroom. We were in Orlando for a AAU Basketball tournament. House was close to World Wide ESPN and all Disney parks. The pool was so nice to come back to in between games and at night. Our family also loved the pool table. We played every night. The house was exactly as described. We will definitely return. Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay was such a pleasant one as we were there to visit our favorite parks to celebrate our wedding anniversary - and the parks were in close range. The pool and hot tub were such relaxing amenities for before and after our park visits to unwind our feet. Pet friendly makes it a much more enjoyable experience as we have 2 fur babies that were welcomed. Will absolutely stay here again in the future.

Relaxing vacation

A Magical Month at Remy’s

We stayed here for a month over the holidays and had a fantastic time! The place was perfect and as advertised. The hosts and the property management were all helpful and responsive. We loved the quiet neighborhood, proximity to Disney, a comfortable bed and the great pool. We cooked many meals in the kitchen treating this as our own home. We also found time to explore several areas of Orlando potentially looking for a future house to purchase, and Remy’s was the perfect spot to come home to each evening. Thank you for making our time at Remy’s so great!

Really nice home, great location.

The house was exactly represented. The owners we're very nice as well. We've rented quite a few homes in the area and this was the cleanest and best cared for of them all. Nice touches in theming the various rooms. We didn't want to leave!

July getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The house had plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 teenagers. The description accurately portrayed the available amenities. We took advantage of cooking breakfast at the house and used the grill for a dinner as well. The pool and hot tub were great and the pool stayed cool even in the hot summer days. The drive to Disney was short and took no longer than 20 mins most days. Plenty of places to eat and grocery stores nearby. Great experience and would recommend a stay.

Wonderful home that was a real blessing to our family.

Remy's Refuge was a terrific home to stay in. It was clean, spacious, and had classic Disney touches throughout. The pool was so fantastic and the hot tub as well. It had everything we needed to relax and have a wonderful time together. It is also very close to restaurants and shops and the Disney Parks. It is in a family neighborhood and the owners made the whole process seamless. If we come back to Orlando again, Remy's Refuge is at the top of our list. It was a tremendous blessing to our family!

We wanted to find a tranquil place where we could relax while still being close to amenities, shopping and theme parks. We think Remy's Refuge is a little piece of heaven!

What makes this property unique

Remy's Refuge stands out from other vacation rentals in a couple of ways:
1. We're on a lake! So close to everything but with that cottage-y feeling; it's lovely!
2. We're newly redecorated! Modern furnishings, fresh colors, and lots of amenities!
3. We're as close to the parks as it gets! Get home within minutes of getting to the car (fantastic when you're already exhausted)!
