3 Bedroom Modernised Captains House in the Heart of Lindos Village

Villa Eros is a modernised Captains house in the heart of Lindos Village. The Villa has three double bedrooms, all air conditioned. We understand Villa Eros was originally built for the daughter of the Mayor of Líndos in the 1920s. It has lots or original features such as the tiling and stonework. It sits just back from the main street, near enough to be under a five minute walk from the shops, bars, restaurants and beaches but set back so to offer relative quiet and peace so you can relax outside and enjoy the sea views. The main bedroom double is in the back of the villa in the quiet sala with a traditional Lindian (raised) bed. The two other bedrooms have double beds brought from the UK and are tastefully decorated. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and dining areas both inside and out. The Captain's bedroom is very light and has full length doors that open with views over the sea and the Acropolis of Lindos, the Temple of Athena and the ancient amphitheatre.The terrace has recently been modernised to include stylish outdoor furniture and sun beds where you can chill out with a drink and take in the views of the surrounding area. There are two bathrooms. One with a shower and the other with a shower and bath.

For us it's personal and we will do our best to make sure you enjoy your time in magical Lindos.

Please note: Villa Eros is in the centre of the village which means you are in amongst the hustle and bustle of village life. The Captain’s bedroom nearest the street does get some bar and street noise in the late evening. The inner bedrooms are set back and like the Courtyard are an oasis of quiet. By law the bars should switch off their music by 1:00AM. All the bedrooms have air conditioning but please note that the air conditioning units in the hall are historic and are not connected nor functioning and are not part of the let.

Beautiful villa in an amazing location

We stayed with 6 friends and had the best time at the villa. It was in a perfect location and felt very authentic, especially the internal courtyard. Everything was great, we were sad to leave!

Amazing property - cracking location

Booking in process was very easy, transfer from Rhodes airport was around 45-50 minutes. Amazing property with all the amenities you would need. Highly recommended.

A beautiful villa right in the centre of Lindos. Easy walking to Lindos or St Paul's ❤ beaches.

Lindos is a beautiful village with enough to entertain teenagers and adults alike. Great restauarnts and bars but also a noise 'curfew' which means you are not disturbed all night. The property is beautiful: the courtyard was perfect for breakfast and the rooftop lounge was superb to sit with a nightcap and review the day, looking over the lights of Lindos. A truly magical property in a beautiful location.

Villa Eros - June 2023

Beautiful authentic villa in a very central location. A short walk to all the village of Lindos has to offer - beaches, bars, restaurants, etc. Noise from street and nearby bars was louder than we anticipated, but did not detract from the overall enjoyment of our holiday. Dom was a pleasure to communicate with, both before and after the holiday and Becca was also very helpful during our stay.

Beautiful Villa

A beautiful home from home in a great location. Plenty of space, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms plus an amazing sun terrace. Pallas beach is about a 10 minute walk which you don't even notice because of all the pretty streets and boutiques along the way. Thankyou so much to Dom for being so helpful from the time of booking and throughout our stay. Arriving late at night, the welcome drinks in the fridge were a lovely touch.

Returning to Lindos after 30 years

Arrived at the property it was exactly as it looks on the website pictures. Dom the ower had told us that the front of the house is noisy on a night time which it was. However the music goes off at 1am and the location of the house its only to be expected. We all slept very well. Typical Lindian captians house. All amenities provided. Some updating could be done to the showers, especially the one off the kitchen.

Extraordinary Eros

Just a plain door front in the centre of Lindos village opens into an italianesque, air conditioned sanctuary with plenty of room to drop bags, flop and relax. Beyond it is a courtyard with a stunning stone table, a traditional Lindian sala room, upstairs captains room all built from beautiful local stone; plus a decked out upstairs terrace where you can put your feet up with a quiet G&T. The loos and kitchen are all modern and clean; it’s all quite, quite lovely! I’d also add that for us, although the house is on a main drag, there are only people on foot and the odd scooter…it’s not that noisy. So thank you for accommodating us at Villa Eros.

We had a lovely time but Lindos is too claustrophobic for us .. the villa is super authentic but lacks elements that would make it incredible.. lighting and shower and more beds on sun deck being what springs to mind. There are some fundamental issues with the house .. many of the door locks don’t work .. the mattress in the living room bed is hard to sleep on .. but on the flip we were given oodles of gorgeous towels and things were in the fridge on arrival which was a great touch.

Thank you for your review. We are obviously a bit disappointed that not everything was as you would have preferred. With respect to your suggestions for the sun terrace (lighting, more beds, shower) we will consider these of course. As for the ‘fundamental Issues’ , the mattress is probably down to a personal preference. TBH It’s the bed I use and I love it. The door locks thing is a bit of a mystery. They have been tested after you left your review and they all work fine except for the small toilet door, which we have asked maintenance to fix. Other than that’s, thank you for your kind words and I hope you return to Líndos again, maybe in May or June if you like it quieter. Warm regards. Dom and Debbie

Lindos stay October 2022

We had a great stay at this wonderful property, we thoroughly enjoyed its quirky layout and the outdoor spaces were lovely. The communications from Dom ahead of our stay were really helpful and Bex at the Lindos end was great checking in on us that everything was OK. I almost forgot we loved the daily visits from Gérard the cat! All in all highly recommended. Caroline

Great house in Lindos

This is a great house in the centre of Lindos so yes it can be noisy but we knew that before we went. It is an old stone house and beautiful inside. Everything supplied for a holiday with travel plugs in outlets and a beach box with towels, snorkels etc.. Roof terrace was a great place to relax with plenty of seating. We loved our stay here and will be back.

Late season getaway

This is a traditional house with plenty of character and charm, situated close to beach, cafes, bars and restaurants. Location is really convenient, but I give four stars because music from nearby bars and late night street noise can disturb people in the front bedrooms. The owner is very helpful - going out of his way to deal with an issue that arose before the trip - and communicated well. I enjoyed the stay.

Villa Eros

Our family chose Villa Eros so we could walk with children to the beach each day and to be near local restaurants. My favorite restaurant was literally next door. Recommended it was local and delicious. Both beaches offered different benefits but were delightful with amazingly clean clear water safe for the little ones to freely play. The plumbing in this old town is fragile and needs proper attending and the garbage is a bit of a trek but other than that we faired well. Our favorite area to gather was the rooftop living room and I so enjoyed the opportunity to sleep under the stars!

Traditional house in superb location

A wonderful property in the heart of Lindos close to local restaurants and shops. There is a near by beach and a larger beach a longer (and steeper!) walk away. Ideal for family groups although I would not recommend it for small children because of the layout of the house which includes steep steps up to a, partly unrailed, seating area.

Great accommodation in a superb location

Had a wonderful holiday in Villa Eros with my husband and teenage children. Everything we needed with a warm and homely feel in every room with plenty of space for us to chill. So close to our favourite place St Paul’s Bay and some great restaurants and bars for the perfect evening in the glorious sunshine 🌞

Fantastic return stay

Just returned from a perfect stay at Villa Eros. It was our second stay at the house and we hope to return again soon. The house is really well equipped, and very clean and comfortable, with lots of space for a family. We enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard, the sunshine and drinks on the roof terrace, and were ideally situated for lunch on the beach and evening meal in the village. Everything is so close. Thank you for a lovely stay .

Why they chose this property

Its near to the centre of the village, in the pedestrian area. You wont need a car. The beaches, shops and restaurants are all within a few minutes walk. There is a bathroom with toilet and a shower room with toilet. We have a local English agent who can help you if you get stuck. Your deposit will be held by VRBO so you can be sure of safe payment. The parking (or taxi drop off) area is only 100 metres away so no need to struggle with suitcases.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful Terrace with sunrise views over the acropolis. You won't forget that sight in a lifetime. It offers day long toasting even if you cant make it to the beach. Two minutes walk to Yiannis Bar yet surprisingly quiet and tranquil when you are inside.
